🚨 Brother Deacon's Thoughts on the End Times 🚨

Well friends, I was reading my Bible and looking at the news today, and I'll admit... it sure seems like we're seeing many of the things Jesus said would happen before His return.

Wars. Confusion. Moral decline. Natural disasters. Division everywhere.

For a minute, I started worrying.

That's when Grace reminded me of something important. 🚚💜

Jesus didn't tell us about the signs so we'd live in fear.

He told us so we'd be ready.

Our job isn't to predict dates, decode every headline, or panic every time the world gets a little crazier.

Our job is to:

✅ Pray
✅ Read God's Word
✅ Stay faithful
✅ Love people
✅ Share the Gospel
✅ Keep our eyes on Jesus

Whether Jesus comes back tonight or 50 years from now, the goal is the same:

Be ready. Stay faithful. Keep following Christ.

The signs may point to His return, but for believers, that's not bad news.

That's hope. ✝️

"Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come." — Matthew 24:42

Are you living in fear of the future, or confidence in the One who holds it?

🔨🐴 Brother Deacon Here! 🐴🔨

I spent the day sketching up new ideas for the shop—lanterns, address signs, and a few custom projects that may or may not have started with coffee and a notebook full of scribbles! ☕📖😄

As I was working, it reminded me of something important: God is the Master Designer. Every good idea, talent, and opportunity we have comes from Him. We can build beautiful things with our hands, but the greatest thing we can build is a life that points people toward Jesus.

A lantern shines light. An address sign helps people find home. And as Christians, we’re called to do both—shine His light and help point people to our eternal home. ✝️💡🏡

"Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God." — 1 Corinthians 10:31

Now tell me, friends... if you could design one custom item for your home, what would it be? 😊👇

☕🪵 Brother Deacon Here... and today the cedar pile preached a sermon! 😅

Everything was going fine until those plastic sawhorses decided they had reached the end of their ministry. One loud CRASH! later, I was standing in a pile of cedar boards wondering where my brilliant plan had gone.

Grace looked at the mess and said, "Maybe those sawhorses weren't designed to hold a small forest." 🚚😂

After gathering up my pride... and my lumber... we built a proper wood drying rack.

You know, sometimes life feels a lot like that cedar pile.

We stack our plans on weak supports—our own strength, assumptions, shortcuts, or "good enough" solutions. Then one day everything comes crashing down.

The good news? God can use a collapse to teach us how to build something stronger.

"A man's heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps." — Proverbs 16:9

What looked like a setback turned into a better solution.

Sometimes God isn't ruining your plans.

Sometimes He's helping you build a better rack. 🪵✝️

Have you ever had something fall apart only to discover God was leading you toward something better?

I'd love to hear your story in the comments! 👇

Sometimes the hardest questions are the most important ones.

I've had people ask me:

"Brother Deacon, if somebody is kind, generous, and helps people, but doesn't believe in Jesus... is that enough?"

That's a question I wrestled with years ago.

Then I started reading what Jesus actually said.

In Matthew 7, people pointed to everything they had done. Their works. Their accomplishments. Their good deeds.

But Jesus didn't say, "You didn't do enough."

He said, "I never knew you."

That changed how I look at everything.

Salvation isn't about earning enough points to get into Heaven. It's about having a relationship with Jesus Christ.

And if I'm honest, when I think about eternity, I'm not filled with fear for myself. I'm filled with concern for the people I love who don't know Him yet.

That's why I keep talking about Jesus.

Not because I want to win arguments.

Because I want people to experience the same grace, mercy, peace, and transformation He gave me.

If you're unsure about Jesus, here's my challenge:

Talk to Him.

Ask Him to reveal Himself to you.

Seek Him sincerely.

You might be surprised what happens. ❤️✝️

Well friends, sometimes we're a lot like a cracked board in the shop. 🪵

We know there's a problem, but instead of dealing with it, we try to cover it up. A little glue here. A little duct tape there. Maybe if nobody sees it, it'll magically fix itself. 😅

The truth is, that's often how we treat our struggles too.

Whether it's lust, anger, pride, bitterness, self-criticism, foul language, anxiety, or something else entirely, the enemy loves when we keep it hidden. Shame grows in darkness. Secrets grow in darkness. But God's healing begins when we bring things into the light.

James 5:16 doesn't tell us to announce our struggles to the whole world. It tells us to find trusted believers who will pray for us, encourage us, and walk beside us.

I can honestly tell you God has brought me a long way. I'm not who I used to be. I'm not where I want to be yet either. But by God's grace, I'm growing.

And so are you.

Don't focus only on where you've fallen. Remember how far God has already brought you. 🙏

📖 "Confess your sins to one another and pray for one another." — James 5:16

Do you have a trusted Christian friend who helps encourage you in your walk with Christ? Thank God for them today. ❤️

Well friends, Cedar Fest is officially in the books! 🌲😂

I started the day convinced we could build all the planters. By lunchtime I had extra boards, extra corners, and somehow extra confusion. 🤣

But you know what? Sometimes the project teaches us more than the finished product.

Life can feel a lot like a woodworking shop. Things don't always go according to plan. Measurements get missed. Mistakes happen. We get tired. But if we keep showing up, keep working, and keep trusting God, He helps us finish what He puts in front of us.

By the end of the day, the planters were done, the sawdust was everywhere, and nobody got permanently glued to anything. That's a win in my book! 😄

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart.” — Colossians 3:23

What's a project you've had to stick with lately? I'd love to hear about it! 👇

Well friends... after a little troubleshooting, a little praying, and maybe a little extra coffee ☕😂, it looks like the images are back up and running!

This comic feels a lot like real life. Sometimes things don't work the way we expect. We hit errors, run into problems, and wonder if we'll ever get things sorted out. But persistence, patience, and trusting God one step at a time can go a long way.

I spent some time wrestling with code while Grace patiently waited for me to get back to the shop. Once everything was working again, it was time to get back to what we love most—creating encouraging content, sharing smiles, and pointing people toward Jesus. 🚚🫏

The lesson? Don't quit when things get difficult. Sometimes the breakthrough is just one more prayer, one more attempt, or one more cup of coffee away. 😉

📖 "Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you." — 1 Peter 5:7

Thank you all for your patience, support, encouragement, and prayers. We appreciate every one of you more than you know! ❤️

😄 Friends!

I know many of y’all have been wondering where Brother Deacon and Grace have been lately.

Trust me... I miss bringing you comics, Godly lessons, bad jokes, and enough sass to keep things interesting. ❤️

Unfortunately, our comic-making machine has been having a few technical hiccups lately. We've been trying to get new comics made, but our image generator has been acting more stubborn than a donkey that spotted a closed gate. 😂 In fact it took 10 tries to make this image!

So if you've been waiting for more adventures from me and Grace, don't worry—we haven't gone anywhere. We're still working behind the scenes and doing our best to get things fixed so we can bring y'all more laughs, encouragement, and life lessons as soon as possible.

In the meantime...

🌲 Cedar Fest continues!

The shop has been busy.
The sawdust is flying.
Orders are being built.
And God's provision has been amazing.

So while the comics may be taking a short nap, the woodworking sure isn't. 😄

Thank you all for your patience, your support, and for continuing to follow along with this crazy little journey.

Bear with us, y'all.

We'll be back soon with more Brother Deacon and Grace adventures.

Until then...

Keep the faith.
Keep smiling.
And keep thanking God for every blessing. 🙏❤️

God bless!
