We are so thankful for the time, passion, enthusiasm and energy that Mr. Woods put into our program. On 9/25/2026 Mr. Woods completed his last day as a Full-Time Instructor in our Principles of Public Safety Classes.

Although he will be missed greatly, we celebrate his recent appointment as Deputy Chief for the Clewiston Police Department. We are certain that he will bring the same level of professionalism and excellence to them as he has demonstrated towards us.

Mr. Woods has been instrumental in the growth and success of our Criminal Justice program. We are extremely thankful for him and for the values he has demonstrated and instilled into our students.

In typical Mr. Woods fashion, he is going to continue instructing our Emergency Medical Response course (1st Period) until a replacement can be found.

Today students met with Secretary Matthew Walsh from the Department of Juvenile Justice. Secretary Walsh shared insights from his stellar career. He also encouraged them to prepare now for their future careers in Public Service by focusing on their education, staying out of trouble, making good friends and great decisions.

The Fire Academy was putting in the work today. Honoring and Remembering the Heroes of 9/11

110 stories, full gear. Teaching the future to never forget

Today the LaBelle High School Fire Academy cadets completed a 9/ 11 Memorial stair climb (equivalent to 110 stories) to honor the 343FDNY firefighters and all the heroic first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001.

We climb so their memory never fades. We are proud of the unwavering respect these future firefighters have shown by stepping up, bearing the weight and carrying the promise to never forget.
