The new HSP shirts are HERE! 🙌🏻

The kids couldn’t wait to get them out of the box, and we’re already planning when we can wear them! 😂

And with Dolly Parton’s 9 to 5 playing in the background, it felt like the perfect soundtrack. ❤️

RIP to a true legend. 🕊️

Who else grew up singing along to 9 to 5? 👇🏻

Nothing like a little late-night stick-breaking session before the preview. 😂

The babies had seen a stick before… but apparently that didn’t mean they were completely comfortable with it.

So with a late-night preview and a big sale day ahead, we kept working.

Because sometimes it’s the smallest things that take the most patience. 🐷

What’s something you’ve had to teach that should have been easy… but definitely wasn’t? 😂👇🏻

A little glimpse of our trip to The Established. 🐷

We got to watch some incredible animals sell, celebrate friends who had an amazing sale, and spend a little time surrounded by some seriously impressive livestock.

And then there was the $180,000 pig. 😳

Moments like that are pretty special to witness in person.

The pigs were incredible, the atmosphere was even better, and we’re already looking forward to the next one.

What’s the most you’ve ever seen a pig bring at a sale? 👇🏻

📖 Chronicles of MagnaWave: The Session That Changed Everything

This one still stands out to me.

At a larger show, a family came to us because their pig just wasn’t acting right. She wasn’t getting up. She wasn’t eating. And they couldn’t quite figure out what was wrong.

After one MagnaWave session, she seemed more relaxed—and she actually ate. But she still wasn’t 100%.

So we decided to do one more session.

During that session, she started urinating. Then she laid down and continued to urinate. And she didn’t stop.

The parents and I looked at each other.

It became clear that she had likely been unable to urinate properly for some time. She had a raging UTI, and we were finally helping give her some relief.

After that second session, that pig made a complete 180. She started acting like herself again, and it was incredible to see the difference.

This is one of the reasons I love what I do. Sometimes the animal tells you what’s going on—you just have to pay attention.

Every session is different.

Every animal responds differently.

And every once in a while, you witness a moment that stays with you. 🐷

This weekend, we bumped into several friends we don’t get to see very often.

And almost every conversation started the same way…

“Boy, y’all sure do put a lot of miles in.”

Yes. Yes, we do. 😂

This summer alone, we’ve made runs to jackpots all over Louisiana. We took the kids to Expo. We’ve been to Oklahoma. We made the trip to Texas for what might have been the best, longest weekend of pig sales ever. 😂 And we’ve got a trip to Illinois on the calendar.

And that’s just the last three months.

But here’s the thing…

For us, this is family time.

We don’t play baseball.
We don’t play cheer.
We don’t have a million different activities pulling us in different directions.

This is our thing.

All five of us. All in.

And we know these are years we don’t get back.

So when a friend calls and says they can’t make an insanely busy sale weekend just seven hours away?

Say less. We’re coming.

Because the people who support us, help us, answer the phone, lend a hand, and show up for our family matter to us.

When we have the opportunity to show up for them, we do.

That’s what family does.

That’s what friends do.

And honestly, that’s what this livestock life is all about.

A quick Buc-ee’s stop… because apparently we don’t know how to do those. 😂

Gas? ✔️
Snacks? ✔️
Food? ✔️
Things nobody needed but somehow ended up in the cart? ✔️

Somehow a “quick stop” turns into a whole family event.

Be honest… what’s the ONE thing you have to get at Buc-ee’s? 👇🏻

Sometimes you just need to get in the truck and take the trip.

No big plan. No perfect itinerary. Just a full tank, good company, and somewhere to go.

Because sometimes the best memories aren’t the ones you planned months in advance.

They’re the ones you almost didn’t take.

What’s a trip you almost didn’t take that you’re so glad you did? ❤️

This is what people don’t always see behind the show ring.

The sunset rides.
The miles walked.
The pigs that need worked.
The kids learning responsibility.
The conversations that happen when nobody else is around.

Some of our favorite parts of this life never happen under the show lights. ❤️

It’s about so much more than a showpig.
We love our TKO Genetics family 🫶

Before there was ever the “Porch”, there was a humble family property, a lot of fresh dirt, very little money and a big…giant…dream.

What we had envisioned to be our kids’ first show barn, quickly became the home of our very first farm sale. We had a tight deadline in the Summer of 2021, when Kyle announced the date of TKO’s Inaugural Farm Sale, long before any concrete was poured.

A barn that went up in only 6 weeks, and was built by a hard-working team of friends and family, long days and nights, lots of Keystone Light and lots of prayers.

We will never forget scurrying to get (most things) finished, and with shaky voices, whispering over and over again… “if we build it, they will come”.

And they came. Our friends. Our family. Our first consignors, and since then our very loyal customers.

We are proud to host you all and your families year after year, right here on the porch where we always dreamed pigs would be housed and memories would be made.

We’ve come a long way, learned a whole lot and shared lots of monumental wins, devastating losses and everything in between, since that very first gathering on the porch.

But, there’s one thing that has remained the same. We have been and always will be honored to host you at our home, at our farm, and on our porch.

Our hope is that you’ll continue bringing your family, your loved ones, your kids (who are growing like crazy) and your adorable grandkids to join us, for years to come, right here on what’s now affectionately known as, “The TKO Porch”.
