I said what I said. This might be the BEST dessert at Walt Disney World right now.

Chef Rayner’s Bourbon Tres Leches takes the classic sweet, milky dessert and gives it a very Polite Pig upgrade with a rich bourbon finish. It’s sweet, boozy, creamy, and basically fall at Disney Springs in dessert form.

It’s a limited-time offering for Hispanic & Latin American Heritage Month and it’s only at Disney Springs through October 15. So, yes, I’m telling you to go get dessert. Immediately.

55 years of magic. 🏰✨🥹

On October 1, 1971, Walt Disney World opened its gates and, somehow, 55 years later, walking down Main Street and seeing that castle still feels a little bit like coming home.

So many things have changed over the years. Attractions have come and gone, new lands have appeared, and the skyline looks a little different. But the feeling? That part is still there.

It’s in the music you hear as you walk through the gates. The first glimpse of Cinderella Castle. The traditions we repeat every trip, the ridiculous amount of food (and cocktails) we’ve consumed in the name of “research,” and the memories made with the people we love most.

So happy 55th anniversary, Walt Disney World. Thank you for the memories we’ve already made and for always giving us a reason to come back and make a few more.

Here’s to 55 years of yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

A little Hurly-Burly on the BoardWalk… 🍸🎶✨

We got a first look at the brand-new Hurly Burly at Disney’s BoardWalk, and this might be exactly the kind of Disney nightlife we’ve been missing!!

Taking over the former Jellyrolls space, Hurly Burly is styled as a revived seaside theater from the golden age of the BoardWalk: part cocktail lounge, part cabaret, part old-school coastal nightlife. During the earlier hours it’s family-friendly with games and entertainment (we caught Friendly Feud, their very Disney version of a Family Feud-style game 😂), but at 9 PM the kids make their exit, the venue becomes 21+, and the live music takes over. 🍸🎤

Naturally, we took our cocktail research responsibilities seriously.

🎭 Road to Fame

And because cocktails require snacks in the name of responsible journalism: Meatballs in Tomato Gravy and Roast Beef Sliders. The menu leans into Italian-American favorites and classic BoardWalk-style bites, which fits the whole vintage seaside-theater theme perfectly.

Between the cocktails, the live band, the Art Deco-meets-BoardWalk atmosphere and an actual adults-only late-night window, Hurly-Burly feels like a very welcome addition to Disney’s BoardWalk.

And yes, we stayed for the 21+ portion.

POV: you went on Kilimanjaro Safaris and immediately fell in love with a 300-pound baby. 🥹🦒💕

Meet Ivy, Disney’s ridiculously adorable baby Masai giraffe! Born in April to mama Willow, Ivy was already nearly 6 feet tall at birth and is now around 7½ feet tall and nearly 300 pounds.

She’s officially out exploring the savanna at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and LOOK AT THAT FACE. 😭

I would like everyone to respect my privacy while I figure out how to fit a giraffe in my carry-on. ✈️🦒🤔
