I noticed and animal trail in the snow going in/out from under the “pub” ( a shed)…lo and behold a porcupine!
They are harmless (unless they eat your stuff) until you mess with them!

It was one year ago yesterday my Mom passed away… and today (12th) would have been my Dad’s 101 birthday.
May they be partying in celebration.🎉
I miss them everyday.

⚠️‼️Avalanche Evacuation Advisory ⚠️‼️

UPDATE (Jan 10, 6:45PM) - The evacuation advisory remains in effect due to sustained avalanche risk. Heavy rain expected overnight. Read more at bit.ly/CBJavalanche.

The City and Borough of Juneau (CBJ) has issued an evacuation advisory for all known avalanche paths. Emergency shelter is available at Centennial Hall starting at 12pm noon. Residents should limit driving in avalanche-exposed areas. You can find current hazard levels at bit.ly/CBJavalanche.

CBJ will hold a press briefing today, January 9 at 11:30 AM to address ongoing hazardous weather conditions and the current evacuation advisory details.
