It’s a rare occasion that we visit a Supper Club two times in four days, but we ended up at a very new and gorgeous Supper Club called Siegfried’s Supper Club as we passed through Teutopolis, IL traveling out of town and then on our way back to Wisconsin. As we were on the road far away from Siegfried’s already, we were talking about how especially fabulous the filet that comes from a local butcher was 😋, and I said that I wanted to go back and get a filet again, but otherwise try some different menu items. As if it was meant to be, I received a text from the owner that said, “(The Other Chaser) Michelle left her credit card here!” 🙄 Under normal circumstances, I might have been upset, but instead I texted back, “Nice! We were just taking about dining again! We’ll see you in a few days!” 😎
We enjoyed cocktails at the bar both times before heading to a table in the dining room, but it was the second time that I got a chance to show the owner how to make a Wisconsin Old Fashioned, so if you’re traveling and you want a Wisconsin Old Fashioned or you are a local and want to try a Wisconsin Old Fashioned, ask her to make you one as she has the recipe. 😏 She had to go in the back to get a bottle of Martell Cognac, the only brandy she has…so far. Because it would end up a book if I told you all that we ate, I’m going to ask The Other Chaser to label the photos, so check out the photos with what we ate both times. I will say that I highly recommend the prime filet or the prime ribeye for your main course, both were very tasty and reasonable for high quality steaks. The baked potato was my favorite of the two potato choices. I recommend the very interesting and delicious prosciutto wrapped broccolini and the fried Brussels sprouts for sides, and I would start with the yummy baked brie or the shrimp cocktail or both appetizers. I would also recommend the carrot cake for dessert, take it to go like we did, or eat it there, and then maybe take one to go too. 😁
