I’ve noticed that a lot of Non-Followers of my Page are seeing my brilliant work lately 🙄, so I guess that I will need to share the rules more often. Even though I am not a big fan of rules in general, without rules and according to Ai’s interpretation of what I’d do without rules, I would be parking the Mustang IN the Supper Club instead of in the parking lot, check out the fun cartoon 😳.

I always try to figure out 🤔 how to get you to at least follow my top three rules which are all the same, positive comments only. Let’s pretend from now on that every Supper Club I write about is yours. I write a fun and positive story about your Supper Club, and you are so happy. You are excited to see the positive comments people are making, and it breaks your heart 💔 when someone says something negative about your place, and since we’re talking about your comments, why would you say anything negative about your own place that you worked really hard to make special? At the same time, I’m sure that since you own the place that I’m writing about, you would want to hear constructive criticism privately, so that’s what I encourage here, but it won’t happen publicly in the form of a negative comment, make sense? 😁

WISCONSIN SUPPER CLUB CHASERS RULES ARE AS FOLLOWS:

1. Positive comments only.
2. Positive comments only.
3. Positive comments only. I can’t say it enough I guess. About 99.9% of the time, this page goes exactly how I envisioned it, I write a fun story and you add fun and positive comments and WE create some positive banter, sometimes banter that is more fun than the story and I encourage you to read the comments when you read my posts. I laugh for hours reading the comments sometimes. My page is not factual, although my story may contain facts, and my page is not historical, although my story may contain history, so unless the facts or history creates a positive vibe, keep it to yourself. Examples, “Did you know that 90% of all brandy made in the World is consumed by Wisconsinites?” Yay, positive! ”Your post contains a historical mistake about that supper club.” Boo, negative, keep it to yourself! Think of the direction you are taking the post when you make a comment. Correcting me on my own page isn’t a great idea, especially knowing that at least half the time I am kidding around. I tell people to never quote me on anything.
4. NEVER is profanity allowed. I joke around and say this is a G Rated page. Mostly, it’s more like a PG Rated page, but not because of language. Your post that uses profanity will be hidden and might just get you blocked from the fun.
5. If your comment is taking my post in a direction that is negative, it will be hidden at best. I learned quickly that there are a lot of negative people in the World and trying to redirect them mostly never works.
6. I block people. It happens. I don’t like to do it, but it is for the good of the page and to keep the page fun and positive.
7. Absolutely NO POLITICS! There is nothing political about chasing Supper Clubs and we can enjoy visiting and supporting and loving these fine establishments together regardless of your political affiliation!
8. I always end these more difficult posts with, I CHOOSE JOY! I hope that you are here for the same reason, to have fun, to find happiness by maybe laughing at me, and to be filled with JOY. 😁🫶🌎✌️

We arrived not long after they opened, and the sun was already on its decent 😬 at Brandy's Old Fashioned in Lake Geneva. People ask often how we end up going to Supper Clubs and as they look through the photos, it's not very busy. It's not a secret. 🤫 We usually go during the week right when the establishment opens, although we do the same on weekends too and mostly go right when a Supper Club opens then too. I also purposely try not to get too many people in photos, just in case they are in the witness protection program. Relocation is pricey. 😏 Not that I don't love the food and drinks, but it has been the people that we've met in our Supper Club chase that have been the highlight of our journey. We went on like old friends with a couple at the bar, all of us talking as a group, and then separately The Other Chaser talked with the very nice woman, and I talked with the gentleman. Stories were exchanged and we found that we have a lot in common in both the love we share in chasing Supper Clubs and our love to travel. ❤️

Besides enjoying some of my favorite beers when we've visited and this time too, we know that we enjoy the bacon wrapped scallops and jumbo shrimp, and it is special to me when a Supper Club starts you off with even a simple relish tray. I like to start a meal with a salad and sometimes soup too, don't judge me, and the ranch dressing was my favorite this time. We both wanted filets, so I opted for the espresso filet with the Brandy's cream sauce, yum, but I found myself pointing to things around the place so that I could sneak bites of The Other Chaser's perfectly cooked medium rare filet. 😋 We had no room for dessert, although I would like to enjoy at least a bite of dessert, OK many bites, when we're out. The Other Chaser saw the Northern Lights for her first time last year, and she was so excited to capture these photos although photos sometimes don't capture the sheer beauty of seeing them firsthand. She heard that the Northern Lights would be visible again this evening, and she thought it was important that I let you know just in case you've never seen them. Finding a nice dark area with no city lights or house lights will help you see them best. Have you seen the Northern Lights? Do you have any photos that I should see? 😁

By the time we decided to head over to Big Foot Inn, another Supper Club that sits right on the border of Wisconsin and Illinois in the tiny town of Big Foot with a Harvard, IL address just south of Walworth, WI 😅, it was snowing and thankfully only sticking to everything but the roads. I guess we weren't the only ones who thought that it was worth the risk to drive over because there was a decent crowd for a snowy evening. If you haven't met Dominic, the owner here, you should ask to meet him or just look for the guy running all over doing anything that needs to be done to make this place great. I was very pleased when Dominic was quick to agree to be one of the featured Illinois Supper Clubs after we decided to add a handful of Illinois Supper Clubs to The Wisconsin Supper Club Dining Destinations II guide. The Other Chaser sounded like a broken record when she kept saying that she was in her happy place because there was a very sweet lady that we've met before here playing quite a bit of music on the piano from our younger years. As some of you know, The Other Chaser is a professional pianist and she likes to play a lot of the same music. 🎶

After enjoying the music and a couple of cocktails at the bar, we asked to sit in the dining room area by the bar and near the piano so we could continue to enjoy the music while we enjoyed supper. We started with some very tasty Shrimp DeJonghe, and I always look forward to devouring the Baked French Onion Soup every time we visit. I had a taste for Prime Rib and I'm so glad I opted for the King Cut. It was fabulous, and I ate almost all of it. 😋 The Other Chaser wanted something lighter, so she had found the Strawberry Pecan Salad on another of our stops here, and she likes to add the chicken which makes it a very tasty combination. The place emptied out fast and the snow was coming down in the size of small snowballs when we left, but I took my time getting home so I could be here to bring you the story. 😁

Pop’s Uptown Supper Club in Antioch, IL is impressive, and the very cool owner told me that this Supper Club is modeled after the famous Ray Radigan's that existed for many years in Pleasant Prairie, WI. If you're looking for a more sophisticated, traditional, old school Supper Club, you definitely want to check this place out. They do not take reservations, and you'll want to stop at the gorgeous bar anyway where you can enjoy a relish tray and breadsticks while the bartender can create their specialty traditional old fashioned for two using Angel's Envy Bourbon or enjoy a Wisconsin old fashioned, I tried both and both were perfect. I need to apologize for the glare in some of the photos. The lighting here is so what you expect from a traditional Supper Club. My phone didn't want you to just enjoy the pictures. It wants you to experience this place for yourself. Some of our friends joined us for their first, but not last experience too.

Since our friends didn't get to try the relish tray at the bar, we started with a couple of relish trays at the table. The saganaki, escargot, and lamb lollipops were all excellent appetizers. Every entree is served with soup and house salad ensuring you'll have leftovers especially if you enjoy appetizers too. The Owner came by to have us all try one of his favorite wines, a very classy gesture, thank you! ❤️ For main courses, The Other Chaser chose one of their Classics meals, the Sausage and Pepper Rigatoni, my one bite was yummy, and my Filet Mignon was a beautiful cut cooked to medium rare perfection. 😋 Our friend decided she just wanted Baked French Onion Soup for her Main Course, a smart move after all the Appetizers, and it looked just right, maybe next time. Although, I of course, didn't finish my meal, sorry Mom 😬, Coconut Cream Pie became a fabulous ending to a fabulous evening, and it traveled well with the rest of our leftovers for another fabulous meal. 😁

The Other Chaser and I were delighted to find the Lounge open last Sunday at Gateway Lodge Restaurant and Lounge in Land O' Lakes. Our friend, Lisa is bartending on Sundays, and she makes it a lot of fun by serving different snacks different every Sunday she said, this time it was peanuts in the shell. Once I start, I can't stop eating peanuts in the shell making a huge mess of the shells as I open them, how about you? 🤔 Lisa also said that during Packers games, she has complimentary pizza, I think she said at halftime, and she has drink specials too. If you're in the area and are looking for something to do, it's a great spot. There is a pool table and a dart board and other fun things to do if the football games are not exciting enough for you, or to add to the excitement. 😁

What a view, right???! 🌟 Today I met my brother in East Troy at Lulabell's Dockside, one of our partners in the Wisconsin Fish Fry Destinations Guide. It was so nice to get to spend some time with him. It was also great to sit by the window and stare out at Lake Beulah! Not only is the view gorgeous but the food here is spectacular. The owner, John was so nice and came out to meet us. He truly is passionate about the quality of the food he serves here! He explained how the Icelandic Cod is so fresh because it’s only frozen once and it’s all hand breaded. If you haven’t been here yet you’re going to want to put this one on your shortlist! Our waitress was so much fun and helped us through the menu. If you read all this so far, thank you, because this is The Other Chaser Michelle writing. I’m sure you realized it by now because I don’t have the storytelling abilities that Jim has. Even though Jim couldn’t join us today, I wanted to share this fantastic fish fry destination with you. I'm not sure why everyone doesn't scramble to get themselves and those they love ❤️ The Wisconsin Fish Fry Destinations Guide we created not just because you can keep a little extra green in your pocket, but also because you can find some of the most incredible fish fry spots in Wisconsin like Heart II Bar-N-Grill in Arbor Vitae. We have been here many times, but it's been awhile, and it was great to be back. We met a gentleman at the bar who was very intrigued by both The Wisconsin Fish Fry Destinations Guide and The Wisconsin Supper Club Dining Destinations Guide, and he said that he definitely was going to get both as he and his wife just got a lake house in the area this Summer, and he wants to explore the area's best Supper Clubs and fish fry spots. The gentleman was waiting for a pizza that he was taking to his wife and son at his lake house, and I asked how he likes his pizza. 🤔 He said with sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, and black olives, so since you only have to get one fish fry to qualify for the discount, I wanted to try a pizza his way too. I enjoyed it, as I did the pepperoni logs, the baked French onion soup, the clam chowder, and the Fisherman's Platter. 😬 Don't judge me. I get this much food because of you, and the leftovers turn into a couple of more meals for The Other Chaser and myself. My favorite on the Fisherman's Platter was the coleslaw and the fried cod. 😋 I want to especially thank Brooklyn and Ava for making our experience a fabulous one, nice job ladies. 😁

Happy, Happy First Birthday to my sweet, sweet granddaughter, Valerie! I loved enjoying our first Supper Club experience together at Del-Bar last week, and I look forward to many, many more Supper Club experiences together! I love you! 😁

I'm looking forward to eating my delicious leftover broasted chicken from Phelps Hillside Restaurant in Phelps. I love the Bloody Marys here especially with all the garnishes including the candied bacon and a pickled egg 😋. Do you eat all the garnishes like I do when you enjoy a loaded Bloody Mary? 🤔 It was fun watching a little girl playing the duck game where every time you play you win a rubber duck. The view of the lake is spectacular. The soup and salad bar is fabulous. The Other Chaser has been on a burger kick for the last couple of days. The Mushroom Swiss Burger with fresh Portabella mushrooms is an excellent choice if you are trying to decide which burger you should do if you get on her burger kick. Use your Wisconsin Supper Club Dining Destinations Guide to get yourself a yummy appetizer when you get an entree. 😁
