It was our first time at Off the Wolf Supper Club in Winneconne. That's not technically true. We stopped here last year to drop off their copy we give them of The Wisconsin Supper Club Dining Destinations Guide that Off the Wolf is a prized Supper Club Partner in, and we give every Supper Club in the guide a stamp and stamp pad to stamp your guide that you used your Deal at that Supper Club. We had a great time chatting with everyone at the bar. A lady we just met for the first time invited us to stay at her house when she realized we were a long way from any place we own in Wisconsin. Obviously her parents never talked with her about Stranger Danger. 😬 I asked a gentleman at the bar my question I ask sometimes at different Supper Clubs, "If it were your last meal, what would you choose to eat?" I can't repeat what he said at first 🙄, but his second answer was, "I would choose fresh lobster in Maine!", which is clever because although I expect people to answer what their favorite meal is at that Supper Club, I ask the question so that they can answer really anything. 😏

At Off the Wolf Supper Club, they take your order at the bar before you head into the dining room. I stepped away for a minute while The Other Chaser ordered what she wanted which was a huge mistake because I try to get all different things especially when we are at a Supper Club for the first time. It was like the final round at the end of Family Feud. You get soup and salad with your meal and a potato choice, and I started out by getting the buzzer every time I asked for something. I even tried to ask for the most popular choice, and our lovely waitress said The Other Chaser chose it. I can tell you in the end that I loved the hot bacon dressing, the baked French onion and the homemade tomato soups were both tasty, the twice baked potato and the blue cheese tenderloin was yummy, and I was very intrigued and enjoyed Off the Wolf's version of Surf & Turf which was fried perch and tenderloin medallions, so perfect for Wisconsin. We finished with a homemade dessert made by the owner, Jennifer. I would be in trouble if I visited regularly, it was fabulous, and I had to have a Smith & Curran when I saw that it was an after supper cocktail choice. 😁

We met some friends at Pine Tree Supper Club in Tomahawk to celebrate our friend, Dave's birthday. Before Pine Tree Supper Club opened, we stopped for a couple of drinks across the street at Sideways. Besides enjoying maybe my first ever and not my last very tasty old fashioned made with rum 😋, it was fun chatting with some people at the bar who have a lake house in Tomahawk, but live down the street from Brandy's Old Fashioned, a new Supper Club in Lake Geneva. They said that the place has been packed, and the traffic in the neighborhood gets pretty busy ever since we visited. 😬 Bunny who used to own Bootleggers Supper Club stopped by to say hi, she is so sweet. I told her how much I loved her husband, Bill, who passed years ago which brought on some tears, and I told her that I, too, shed some tears when I heard that he passed. ❤️

There were people already pouring out of their vehicles and into Pine Tree as I was hurriedly walking back across the street as I love to spend a little time at the bar and wanted a seat like I do at every Supper Club before I head into the dining room. Bill, the owner gave me a wave as he opened the doors a couple of minutes early. I told the bartender that the other bartender, Shannon always makes my old fashioned with every garnish after I couldn't decide which garnish I wanted, so Shannon started putting all the garnishes in my old fashioneds every time I visit. This time, I also ended up with a pickle, too, which I learned doesn't work for old fashioneds for me, but it was worth a try, and I still ate the pickle. Pine Tree has an excellent salad bar, and we love the ribeye and the pork chops. 😋 We did the pork chops Cajun style this time, but any way is delicious. I went to the restroom and The Other Chaser had already started digging into her ribeye and mashed potatoes, so if it looks like Bill, the owner and chef was tasting the meal in the kitchen before sending it out, it was The Other Chaser. 😁

I've been to this Minocqua building more times than I can count when it was Mama's Supper Club and then a few times when it was Minocqua Prime, but it was our first time eating here since it became Sheri's Pub N Grub. Sheri did such a beautiful job remodeling the place. The lake views are spectacular. Sheri's Pub N Grub is another that people said was their favorite fish fry spot when we were creating The Wisconsin Fish Fry Destinations Guide featuring your favorite fish fry locations all over the state where owning the guide will save you a little green as you visit these places. We were very excited that Sheri agreed to be in the fish fry guide even though she is usually busy on Fridays like she was by the time we were leaving. It's nice that she has a salad bar for those who enjoy a salad made your own way. We enjoyed the grouper special and the fried walleye was tasty too, and The Other Chaser wanted to try a burger, although I think that she just had a taste for some sweet potato fries. 😁

I'm over here at Asana S**a in Land O' Lakes and it's been a fun evening running into people who love this page. The last gentleman I talked with said that we talked at Guide's Inn in Boulder Junction a while back. On the way to the men's room, I talked with a couple who said they enjoyed our get together a couple of years ago at Blue Heron in Eagle River that is no longer. Another couple said they just love watching everywhere we go. Earlier, as we were leaving enjoying fish fry at Sheri's in Minocqua, a gentleman stopped us in the parking lot surprised to see us in Minocqua. 😳

Jake who owns Asana S**a has been preparing some fabulous old fashioneds probably maybe since before he was supposed to be. 😏 After my first old fashioned, I had a taste for a Miller Lite. The Miller Lite is ice cold here, my favorite. Jake said that he made the old fashioned in the photo mistakenly, and wondered if I wanted it. I never leave a man behind. 😁

I wore my Supper Clubbers jersey when I joined this group of extraordinary gentlemen at Wolff's River Inn in Elcho for an extraordinary time and meal. Concentrate less on how the jersey looks on me, and stop judging, I just consumed more than I should in a week. 😬 The jersey always stirs up conversation about the fun team name, and so many say that they would love to have a jersey of their own. My recommendation is to head to ABC Supply Stadium in Beloit, and watch the Beloit Sky Carp transform into the Supper Clubbers tonight and/or on a couple more Friday home games, and pick up a jersey while you enjoy their very tasty fish fry and an old fashioned. 😋

A gentleman reached out and said that he picked up The Wisconsin Supper Club Dining Destinations II guide while he was at a game recently, and he was showing off already using the guide to save him some green at a Supper Club close by. You can pick up The Wisconsin Supper Club Dining Destinations II guide and/or The Wisconsin Fish Fry Destinations Guide at the store in the stadium, too. 😳

I'm planning on going to another game myself before the season ends. It's a lot of fun. 😁

I had a spectacular experience and meal recently at The Jackson Grill in Milwaukee, and we had the true pleasure of meeting and talking with Andy & Melanie who rescued this Supper Club institution from being just a memory of those fortunate enough to have experienced it in the past. When we heard that the rainstorm that dumped a crazy amount of rain on Milwaukee and some of the surrounding area basically destroyed Andy & Melanie's personal home and everything in it, it broke our hearts. 💔 Preparing and serving some of the most amazing food that I've ever eaten is Andy & Melanie's passion, and if nothing else, it gives them purpose and joy while they are putting their lives back together as best they can. I'm asking you to go out of your way to make a reservation or many reservations and give them and you the same joy that I experienced, if you've not been here. You'll thank me later for sending you here. 😁

I'm at a Conference, and the last speaker of the day yesterday was a PhD in leadership. Did you know that there are doctors in the field of leadership? 🤔 I am always amazed at what people do for a living. I really enjoyed listening to this doctor's presentation. It made me smile when he said that someone who has a lot of followers, a leader, in any field whether a state or a country or a company or someone who chases Supper Clubs 😎 (I only heard the Supper Club thing, he didn't really say that), is followed because they have charisma. I looked up the definition of charisma. Do you see me as someone with charisma? Now be nice. Remember, there is no negativity allowed on this page, so be clever if you're trying to be funny with your answer. 😁

Please pay attention, especially if you own The Wisconsin Supper Club Dining Destinations Guide or The Wisconsin Supper Club Dining Destinations II guide, or pay attention anyway because it's rude to just scroll by. I work very hard to entertain you. 🤭 Inside the front cover of the first guide and the back cover of the second guide is a plastic card that identifies you as someone who bought a guide, we call it The Wisconsin Supper Club Member Card. If you are the first one to show this card to my friend, Eric who is one of the owners of Sky Club Supper Club in Plover, he has The Wisconsin Supper Club glass and sticker in the photo for you. 🎁

Separately, and maybe more importantly, and especially for those who love to do what I do and tell the World about your Supper Club experiences, pay close attention again. 😳 We spent a lot of time creating an exclusive page for those who own a guide called The Wisconsin Supper Club where you can show off your talent, or at least tell those who also own one or both of the guides. To get on The Wisconsin Supper Club page, you must have the plastic card in the photo. On the back of that card is a Member Number. When you go to The Wisconsin Supper Club page, for Pete's sake, please 🙏 answer the questions and please 🙏 enter your Member Number, and you will be entered into paradise, or really just the page. 😁

I've been looking forward to getting back to Wolff's River Inn in Elcho ever since I finished the last delectable bite the last time I was here. I was glad that my friends, Big Daddy and Halo, who do a podcast where they talk about Supper Clubs they visit every month said that they were going to Wolff's this month, so I was quick to say that I would love to join them. A couple of years ago, Big Daddy, his name is Bryan, reached out and told me what they do and asked if I wanted to meet them at a Supper Club. To his surprise he told me, I was quick to say that I would be happy to. I don't know why he was surprised because I enjoy the company of anyone who loves Supper Clubs like I do. Last year, we had a lot of fun recording together at a Supper Club for their show. This time, we didn't record because it was a busy Saturday, but I would do it again in a heartbeat, it's so much fun. Would you listen if I created my own podcast? 🤔

Getting caught up at the bar over a few old fashioneds is so the Wisconsin way. I told them about the new version of The Wisconsin Supper Club Dining Destinations II guide that I so appreciate Wolff's is in again, and we swapped stories about all of our adventures since we saw each other last. It made me smile. 😊 Big Daddy and Halo always come with a designated driver and an entourage. It was amusing talking with the group, but at the same time, when guys get together, they do goofy things like try to light the electric candle. 🙄 It was funny too, when the waitress was going around the table taking orders, they all went first and almost everyone wanted a salad with French dressing, so when it was my turn, and although I was going to get the soup of the day which I still did, I asked for a salad with French dressing too, because I was afraid that I would be missing out. The dressing was tasty, but I can't say enough how much I love ❤️ the tenderloin smothered in cheesy deliciousness with their famous homemade baked French onion soup on top. 😋 This meal is worth doing whatever it takes to get here and experience, even if it means taking vacation days you don't have or chartering a jet if you have to. Bills are overrated 😏, but this tenderloin prepared this way is heavenly, and worth losing your house over, maybe that's a little more than I recommend. 😬 I loved that some nice people stopped me on my way out to say they love reading my page. It's a highlight of my evening when you want to talk. I truly appreciate you. 😁

I have been looking forward to getting back to Sky Club Supper Club in Plover, the home of the first EVER salad bar. Even though I cannot confirm nor deny that Sky Club's salad bar wasn't a borrowed concept because maybe the original owner traveled to some far away country to visit people who lived in a remote jungle somewhere who actually created the first ever salad bar 🤭, I can confirm that the salad bar is very cool looking and it has lots and lots of tasty items on it, something you must experience, and should be on your Supper Club bucket list.

Before I thoroughly enjoyed the salad bar, I stopped at the bar bar 😉 for a few delicious old fashioneds made with Sky Club's own special brandy and Shifty's old fashioned mix. I was dropping off one of our World Famous The Wisconsin Supper Club glass and sticker to give to the owners because Sky Club Supper Club is another of our prized Supper Club Partners in both the original The Wisconsin Supper Club Dining Destinations Guide and they are now in the newest version of The Wisconsin Supper Club Dining Destinations II guide. If you don't have the Wisconsin Supper Club Dining Destinations II guide, you can now pick up your copy at Sky Club Supper Club and take advantage of the Deal at Sky Club right away, and then get some incredible deals at a bunch of participating Supper Clubs. I laughed when I looked at my bar tab, and they referred to me as the "Supper Club Dude". 😊

My friend, Eric, who is one of the owners of Sky Club recommended I try the lobster tail and fried shrimp special. It was spectacular. 😋 I understand they might be offering it as a special often. I highly recommend it. I took a photo of the butter for the lobster tail as it was brought out in it's little melting pot right away. I love ❤️ melted butter. I finally got a chance to enjoy a potato pancake as my side, as last time I was here, Eric told me over and over, "You HAVE to try the potato pancake!", and then when I was so excited about getting it, the waitress said they were out. 🙄 It is normally served with applesauce or syrup or sour cream. I can tell you the potato pancake tastes fabulous with all three. 😏 One more thing, I asked the waitress what her last meal would be if she had to chose her last meal. After a couple of seconds, she was quick to say the special filet they serve here along with a pile of their crab legs, sounds delighful and worthy of a last meal. If you see me or ask me here about the answer I received when I asked the same question to a waitress at a different Supper Club. Her answer was hilarious. 😁

We are outside of Wisconsin obviously when I ask for an old fashioned and it's almost always on the menu served with bourbon and it looks like this. I'll admit that I like this style of old fashioned occasionally, but it doesn't take long for me to crave a Wisconsin Old Fashioned. 😋 Are you like me, and enjoy an old fashioned like this occasionally, or maybe you enjoy an old fashioned like this all the time? 🤔 I always say that everyone's tastes are different, so there is no right or wrong answer. What you enjoy is what you enjoy, it's all a matter of preference. 😁
