It never gets old chasing Supper Clubs, and we love ❤️ it especially when we get to visit a Supper Club for the first time. It was special too that we got to meet the new owners of The Heiting Place in Little Chute. The new owners told me that this is the only Supper Club that they ever ate at 😳 before picking up this place because before settling down in the best state 😏, they were Florida residents. The new owners were also super excited when we reached out asking if they would let us use a couple of recipes at The Wisconsin Supper Club Tour, First Stop, The Ballroom At Hotel Retlaw. When we asked for their thoughts on a vegetarian option for main courses at Hotel Retlaw, they said that although they normally only serve it as a special for now, they thought their Fettuccine Alfredo was excellent. We asked them to add broccoli, and the combination is truly better than excellent. 😋 I already told The Other Chaser that it is what I want for my main course at Hotel Retlaw.

The regulars were so fun to talk with at the bar. We had way too much fun with everyone considering we still had a long ride to get Up North after we were finished. I love the Ranch Dressing and Dip they have for their relish tray and salads, so we asked the owners if the Chef at Hotel Retlaw could use the recipe on our relish bar and soup and salad bar too, and they said they were so happy to let us use it. I would definitely get the broasted chicken if you come to The Heiting Place and aren't sure what to eat, and I hope they add the Fettuccine Alfredo With Broccoli to their every day Menu but you have to try it if it remains a special, it's so creamy and delicious. 😁

By the time we left Sayner Pub in Sayner every seat in the place was taken. 😳 We know better to get to especially these best fish fry spots that are in The Wisconsin Fish Fry Destinations Guide that we created early on a Friday afternoon. It was The Other Chaser's first time here, and I haven't been in a long time. A friend that started out as just a fan of this page was in town, and he wanted to join us. It was fun recreating the video we made at Buckatabon Tavern & Supper Club in Wauwatosa who has basically the same map of the Northwoods on their ceiling. The bartender at Sayner Pub recognized me, and he said he saw my video, and that the owners of Buckatabon got the idea of putting the map on their ceiling after enjoying many stops here. 😏

We started out with the Walleye Bobbers, some very tasty walleye bites from the Appetizers Menu. 😋 Our friend enjoyed the cod blackened and opted for the cucumber salad for his side, and we chose to get our cod fried and we opted to get the cucumber salad and the potato pancakes, too. I saw a lot of people eating pizza, so we also shared some of a Pub Special Pizza, and took a lot of it with us. Everything hit the spot.

I look forward to getting to the next fish fry destination in The Wisconsin Fish Fry Destinations Guide. If you have a Fish Fry Guide, where should we go next, or at least soon? 😁

You're going to want to read this because I need your help, and your help will make you famous, at least I will think of you as famous. 😎

I had the very sweet newer owner, Michelle of Rhinelander Dina Mia, a long time pizzeria in Rhinelander if you can't figure it out from the name 🙄, reached out and asked me how she could be part of what we do with Supper Clubs. I promise you that no matter what kind of business you're in, I can somehow tie it into Supper Clubs. 😏

Here's where I need your help. I said to Michelle that I am going to ask you what should be on The Supper Club Pizza she wants to add to her fabulous menu. What would be the perfect toppings to create The Supper Club Pizza? We want this pizza to be so popular that people will travel for hours to enjoy it. Michelle will pick your perfect Supper Club Pizza recipe and put it on her menu. If she uses your recipe, she wants give you The Wisconsin Supper Club Dining Destinations II guide. 😳 One more cool thing, after Michelle said she wanted to do something to give back to the community, I told her about FORK, Feed Our Rural Kids, and she wants to give a portion from every Supper Club Pizza to help feed less fortunate kids. How very cool is that? 🥰

Michelle also wanted to have The Wisconsin Supper Club Dining Destinations II guides available for you to pick up at her pizzeria, so get yourself one or one for a friend or family member, the guides are a perfect surprise for a foodie at any special occasion. I know what you're thinking. How's the pizza? I truly loved it. If nothing else, come by and try it. 😁

I am exhausted 😌, and so is The Other Chaser. We've spent countless hours planning The Wisconsin Supper Club Tour, First Stop, The Ballroom At Hotel Retlaw in Fond du Lac. But with the help of so many Supper Clubs like the beautiful Moonlight Tavern in Port Washington in graciously sharing their recipes so the Chef at Hotel Retlaw can put together maybe the most amazing Supper, we couldn't be more excited as to how it is all coming together. 😆 We wanted to get a photo of one of the Main Course choices that will be served in the Ballroom At Hotel Retlaw, the very tasty Chicken Cordon Bleu. Even though The Other Chaser professed not to want more than half of the Chicken Cordon Bleu, I'm pretty sure she pulled a scale out of her purse to make sure it was at least half, and she certainly had the lion's share of the Bechamel sauce that it's smothered in. 😋

You can always pick up a copy of The Wisconsin Supper Club Dining Destinations II guide or The Wisconsin Fish Fry Destinations Guide at Moonlight Tavern and use one and/or the other guide to get the Chicken Cordon Bleu as part of your Deal in the guides, and I would love for you to compare it to how the Chef at Hotel Retlaw prepares it. Ask me to tell you more about Hotel Retlaw. 😁

My friend, Joyce who is the proud proprietor of Foxhollow Gift Co. asked if she could show off The Wisconsin Supper Club Dining Destinations II guide and The Wisconsin Fish Fry Destinations Guide at her very yummy 😋 and fun booth at the Phelps Scarecrow Fest and at fests in the future. Of course, I think everyone that loves to eat at Supper Clubs and the best Fish Fry establishments should have both guides. It was a beautiful day, so there were lots of people enjoying their day. It's always fun when people stop me like a very nice lady did at the Fest, and she asked, "Which Supper Club are you going to tonight?" It's always followed up with a fun conversation, and I truly enjoy talking with you. I saw some other friends soaking up the sun, and we talked too. The very nice lady who runs the Phelps Chamber of Commerce asked if it gets old being stopped by people who recognize me, and I told her that it truly makes my day. I don't know if I mentioned it to you, but a gentleman at a Rest Stop washing his hands just in case your mind is going there 🙄, recognized me and asked which Supper Club we were headed to. It is especially fun when the Supper Club is halfway across the state from where I am like it was when this happened. 😁

When I heard that lightning struck and there was a fire at The White Stag in Sugar Camp, I said, "How bad is the damage?" 😬 Fortunately, the damage was minimal 😅, and they were back open in just a few days after what could have been a tragedy. I truly love ❤️ everything about The White Stag. If you haven't been, you really need to check it out. On the way in, it was fun being recognized. I really enjoy talking with you, so please say hello when you see me. 😎

One of my many favorite things at The White Stag is the Whipped Cottage Cheese that they serve to top the Baked Potato that comes with your meal. The Whipped Cottage Cheese recipe is in the book written by my friend, Mary Bergin called the Wisconsin Supper Club Cookbook. Mary Bergin will be a guest speaker at The Ballroom at Hotel Retlaw in Fond du Lac at the end of October that The Other Chaser and I are doing where the Whipped Cottage Cheese will be served with the Baked Potato that will come with your meal and where we will be using recipes from a bunch of Supper Clubs. 😳 Mary will also be signing her books there if you want to pick one up from her at Hotel Retlaw. You can then get your Wisconsin Supper Club Cookbook signed by owners like I did with my book.

I love the three dressings that come with the salad wedge, and I took the time to try them separately, but the combination is very delicious. I haven't been in a while, so I had to have the Collosal Shrimp En Brochette, it's so fabulous. I ran into a gentleman on the way out of the packed house by the time I left, and I asked what he enjoyed. He said, "I always get the Porterhouse!" What is it that you have a hard time not getting at The White Stag? 😁

All I had to do was ask and my friend, Cathy who owns Cattails Supper Club in Larsen gave her delicious recipe for pork chops to us, the Wisconsin Supper Club Chasers. 😳 The recipe will be used as one of our main course choices at maybe the greatest ever Supper Club meal at The Hotel Retlaw in Fond du Lac on the last Sunday in October. Every part of the meal we are putting together including dressings, soups, main courses, etc. are all going to be recipes from different Supper Clubs. The inspiration to put this together came from my friend, Mary Bergin who gathered recipes from Supper Clubs years ago when she wrote, Wisconsin Supper Club Cookbook. Mary will be at The Hotel Retlaw at the meal speaking and signing her books. There will be recipes used for the meal that will come from Mary's book. 😉

Let me tell you a funny story. I went to Cattails before they opened and asked Cathy to make a couple of pork chops for me for a photo. I said, we'll be serving the pork chops with a baked potato, can you also ask your chef to put a baked potato on the plate? She said that she could, but the baked potato was not baked yet. 🥶 If you look closely, you can see the baked potato was not baked but I had no issues devouring the pork chops, they are so yummy. 😋

Also notice the stack of very cool items Cathy gave me, not for me, but for you potentially if you join us for maybe the coolest Supper Club meal ever. 😁

It was a truly special evening at Eagle Waters Resort & Supper Club in Eagle River. Although I would always prefer to have The Other Chaser with me when I am at a Supper Club, she was at home because she wasn't feeling well. 🤧 When I'm alone, the dynamic is different, so I have a different experience than I normally do. My evening started with a very fun conversation with a gentleman who is now managing the Resort. He said that the last time he was reading my page, I showed up at Eagle Waters, and he said that he had just looked at my last post, and there I was. I think they're following me, even though I'm not sure who they are. 🥹

If you've been here, you know it's a perfect spot to have a wedding reception or any kind of gathering. There was a hockey thing going on. People from the hockey thing were really nice including a lady who said she enjoys reading my page, and she picked up The Wisconsin Supper Club Dining Destinations II guide from me, something you can always do if you're out and about and see me. I was sitting with another couple who, while I was taking photos of the gorgeous outdoor area and the music going on, showed me they had both copies of The Wisconsin Supper Club Dining Destinations Guides as the two are overlapping currently. We talked for a while, and I want to thank them here for the fun conversation and the old fashioned. 🥰

Eagle Waters was serving a buffet with different fish and chicken items on it, or you could get prime rib, and as always, I ate way too much from the soup and salad bar. I loved the seafood soup 😋 like I love a lot of the soups at Eagle Waters. I was at Eagle Waters asking the owner, Laura, for a soup recipe for a Supper Club thing we're going to be doing where the meal, including dressings and soups for the salad bar, is going to be made up of recipes from different Supper Clubs. How cool is that, right?! 😁

We met our friends, Bill and Joyce, at Stagecoach Inn in Fort Atkinson. Joyce wanted a nice stack of both The Wisconsin Supper Club Dining Destinations II guides and The Wisconsin Fish Fry Destinations Guides because she will have a booth at the Phelps Scarecrow Fest today if you're looking for something to do. Hopefully, you won't see this weeks from now and show up to an empty field. 😬 Joyce retails some really cool Wisconsin based products like meats, cheeses, pickled things that go in Bloody Marys like asparagus, and pickled beets too, and now her coolest products, The Wisconsin Supper Club and Fish Fry Guides. Maybe, you'll see me at Phelps Scarecrow Fest. 😏

Of course, we weren't going to pass up eating at Stagecoach, this place is fabulous if you haven't been. We started at the bar as usual, and after I remembered that they have handmade blue cheese stuffed olives, my next, OK my next couple of old fashioneds were garnished with the very tasty blue cheese stuffed olives. 😋 I love the very cool footrest at the bar if you're trying to figure out if I mistakenly took a picture of my foot. 🤔 The tower of the different salads they serve is spectacular. When I was reading your reviews, and, yes, I read your reviews too 😳, and although I've enjoyed just the filet many times, someone described their filet and lobster as fabulous, so I went with the filet and lobster and it was as fabulous as you said it would be. The Other Chaser loves the French Fried Lobster at Stagecoach. She only let me have one of those little delicious morsels, and as she moved her plate to where I couldn't reach more, she said, "Eat your own lobster." 😁

Can you figure out where I am by looking at these two photos? What are you up to this evening? 😁

If you haven't been to Buckatabon Tavern and Supper Club in Wauwatosa, you really need to check it out especially if you love the Northwoods. If you've spent as much time as I have in the Northwoods and as you look around this Supper Club, you will look at the signs and say, "I've been there, or I go there all the time!" Buckatabon is such a fun spot. We were "in the neighborhood" because we were picking up cocktail glasses with The Wisconsin Supper Club logo on them, and I said, "I'm starving, let's head over to Buckatabon and eat." After a couple, OK a few 😏 Buckatabon old fashioneds, my intentions were to try an entree or two, and after four appetizers, we never made it to an entree 🙄. We enjoyed deviled eggs and cheese curds that we've enjoyed before, and this time I wanted to try the relish tray which is huge and yummy, and The Other Chaser can never pass up Brussels sprouts no matter where we are, definitely tasty too 😋, and I highly recommend them. Next time, we'll do just entrees. What do you recommend? 🤔 We are so proud to have Buckatabon in both The Wisconsin Supper Club Dining Destinations II guide and the Guide To Dominic The Food Reviewer's Top Places To Eat. You really should consider owning both of these guides as they support what we do and what Dominic does bringing you these Posts. Both guides will save you tons of green too, as you eat at all these excellent eateries. 😁

We arrived later than normal and just in time to watch the sunset at MARS RESORT in Lake Geneva. The ladies sitting at the table below the sunset probably thought I was taking a photo of them. 😏 I didn't realize it either, but our friend, Stacey, and her Mother also ended up in the photo. I thought that the cocktail napkin that Kelly set my drink on made an impression that looked a lot like my favorite smiley face emoji 😁. What do you think? Because I only shared a photo of the bar when we were here, I had a lot of people asking what we ate. The first thing The Other Chaser ate was probably someone's leftover mushroom and brie soup, I walked in after parking the car, and she was already eating a cup of soup. I said, "I know you said you were really hungry, but isn't this being a little desperate? 😬" She said, "Kelly (maybe the smiliest bartender anywhere) said that it came from the kitchen accidentally.", so I went ahead and ate some, too. 😋 This time, I wanted the ribs Cisco style with the BBQ sauce on the side and potato wedges starting with my favorite signature spinach salad, and The Other Chaser went with the very tasty pork chops. 😁
