At 616 PM CDT, Local law enforcement reported many roads flooded in and near Davenport, including main thoroughfares, as well as first floors of buildings starting to flood quickly. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2.5 inches are possible in the warned area.

This is a FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for Davenport. This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW!

TODAY'S TORNADO RISK🌪🚨 across the Midwest as the MCV (Mesoscale Convective Vortex) moves through Iowa. This will trigger vigorous storms that will develop by Mid-Afternoon across Eastern Iowa into Illinois. These storms will be capable of putting down TORNADOES, DOWNDRAFT WINDS of 70MPH, and LARGE HAIL.

Please remain weather-aware this afternoon into the evening hours. These storms will be slowly moving to the east towards the Chicago Metro where flooding has been a big issue over the last few days. Check back for updates!!
