Lake of the Ozarks friends and boating friends n general!
Local photographer Brad Glidewell could use your help and prayers. Brad has been diagnosed with an aggressive cancer and while his spirits are high the denial of benefits from his insurance and the inability to work has put a real strain on him and his family.
When I first visited LOTO Shootout years ago I ran across Brad’s work. I loved his moody edits and interesting compositions that stood out from other work I had seen. While he doesn’t spend all his time shooting boating his work is refreshing to someone who does. Below is a post I copied from his page. If you feel compelled help this family out this holiday season. It could be the best gift you give this year!
“I am too positive to be doubtful, too optimistic to be fearful, and too determined to be defeated.” This quote was on the wall at Missouri Cancer Associates, and it couldn’t have summed Brad up better. 💪
Yesterday, Brad began his first round of immunotherapy. He’ll continue doing his part by staying focused on diet and lifestyle changes, along with several alternative treatments and supplements. The best part? He still feels great! 🙌
We’ll be traveling to Columbia every three weeks for treatment. With the insurance denial and financial assistance denial, I’ve been doing everything possible to fight for coverage at Mayo and fairness - appealing Mayo Clinic’s decision, appealing Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield, and reaching out to the Missouri Department of Commerce & Insurance as well as our state legislators.
Current ways to help us financially:
💛 Central Bank Lake of the Ozarks account: Brad Glidewell Benefit Fund
💛 Venmo: -Glidewell
💛 GoFundMe: https://gofund.me/495b21b0a
Every message, prayer, and act of kindness reminds us that we’re not in this alone. Thank you for continuing to stand with us. We feel your love every single day.
