I'm not the highest producing Realtor at The Hasson Company, but I pride myself in the superior service I give my clients and the fact that they continue to refer me long after their sale or purchase. As far as my life story, it's been varied and unique. Born in Detroit, Michigan, raised in Los Angeles, I attended Glendale High School and the University of Southern California. That's the boring pa
rt. Then, I started a broadcast career that went from the smallest radio station in California, to the smallest TV station in the United States in Glendive. I had the pleasure of working in radio and television for nearly 20 years, most of that time in the Northwest. I met my wife, Tracy Barry, when we were hired to co-anchor the news at a TV station in Pocatello, Idaho. Now, it's starting to get interesting. I hosted a game show in Portland on KGW-TV, Channel 8 for three years. The show was called “On The Spot” and featured nearly 3,000 local contestants. Prizes included trips, cars and lot's of cash. One of the parting gifts was an "On The Spot" umbrella that many contestants cherish to this day. It's also pretty useful around here. After the game show, I produced a PBS documentary in cooperation with a Russian movie producer about Igor Sikorsky, the inventor of the helicopter. Tracy and I traveled to Russia to complete the documentary during the collapse of the former Soviet Union. That was an exciting time. After television, I went to work for Peter Jacobsen Productions where I was responsible for sponsorship sales for The Fred Meyer Challenge and numerous other golf tournaments that our company produced. During that time, I had the opportunity to meet many of the legends in the world of golf. Between 1998 and 2002, Tracy and I adopted two little girls from China. They are growing up at lighting speed, with mom and dad admiring them every step of the way. In 2005, I changed careers in order to avoid the travel of the sports marketing business. Extra time with my family was a priority and I had the good fortune to join the Hasson Company as a full-time Realtor. It was one of the best choices I've made in my life.
