When the intriguing affairs of a mysterious couple are disrupted, the unpredictable unfolds.
Hey guys, director Nathan Karimi has started preproduction for his new film "4am." Alvaro Aro DP will be in charge of the cinematography. Anyway, they are currently looking for the following roles. If interested in more details, please send your headshots and/or links of work to [email protected].
This short thriller film is basically a radio broadcast transmission gone wrong. Very wrong.
Cheryl: mid or late 30s woman, any ethnicity.
A wife and a loving mother of young Monica. Cheryl's scene is short but it drives the whole story as the fast paced thrill ride comes crashing down. In mere moments, Cheryl is left to deal with and witness helplessly her husband's rapid transformation into a paranoid, fear driven psycho from the humble, level-headed man that left for work less than an hour before. Cheryl's performance drives the story right up to its climax, there is no slow down or reflection just several minutes of pure emotion, fear and passion.
Monica: about 6-10 years old girl, any ethnicity.
Bill and Cheryl's daughter, she kisses her father goodbye in the morning saying goodbye to a loving father as he heads off for work but is asleep when he comes home. She is woken abruptly by the fear and chaos that her Dad brought with him. Monica is forced to go along with all of it, full of fear and unknowing of what is to come. She struggles to see her parents in full on panic and has nowhere to run for safety, her performance is driven conversely by the trust she has in her parents and her complete fear of the unknown.
Paul Peterson: male, any ethnicity.
He is old enough to remember the 80s. Single, the host of a radio UFO Show. He's obsessed with aliens and has been fired from several radio show positions, not because he's a bad host, in fact he is quirky and entertaining, he's been fired for drinking on the job, and still does (it's just that this radio station is in the boonies and they don't care).
Not too long ago, a really amazing group of people decided to give me a hand with one of the things I love the most; making films. This group, led by Elizabeth Parker and Alanna Podgorski gave me their souls and hearts. Elizabeth not only became a pivotal member of our production team but she also opened the doors of her beautiful home; Kuhs Estate & Farm. A few days ago, one of their biggest sheds was brought down to ashes by an uncontrollable fire. I have no doubt they will get this place rebuilt (they are strong human beings who never give up). However, I would like to ask you all to please give them a little hand. Any amount would help them enormously and if for whatever reason, you cannot do it right now, please share the following link. Thank you so much. - Al.
It's very rare for me to post anything about farmlife without a beautiful photo and a happy story. This morning that is not the case. On Saturday January 23rd around 10:30pm a teenage boy came running up the farmside driveway - from the road - yelling the shed was on fire. I ran off the porch and...
