My name is Marie, ever since I was in middle school I would be writing in my journal or writing pros or poems sometimes songs, life wasn’t easy growing up, so I would find myself journaling or reading it was my escape from reality my own fantasy world when I needed an escape during difficult painful moments in my life. If it wasn’t writing, reading or journaling it was listening to music. I enjoy anything creative that I’m able to do. My imagination never stops, it’s been like this since I was a child. I enjoy taking pictures and dancing to my favorite music and singing along if I can. My favorite season is Autumn because of all the amazing colors. I have three sayings that I used my whole life.

Observations of a Warrior Poet by T. John Mattson

ABOUT THE BOOK
My early lessons taught me to work hard and fight through the obstacles that would be encountered in my life. My poetic efforts began simply, without much structure, as I wrote about the issues that I was dealing with daily. Surviving homelessness and the culture that pierces through it, such as substance abuse, hostility, personal safety, etc., I was compelled to write about topics in a way that was clear and not overly symbolic. I soon began to feel drawn to issues that in my earlier days I was not active in, such as politics. Throughout this journey, most of my other interests would find their way to my paper as I tried to reexamine those concepts from a different vantage point. And though using “old-school” rhyme may not be the most popular these days, it is within my comfort zone as I continue to be a work in progress.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
The author has been involved in many activities and vocations throughout his life, although early on, writing was not one of them. Relatively well-educated, with both undergraduate and graduate degrees in different disciplines, his interest might best be described as diverse and electric.

In his youth he was heavily involved in athletic circles, competing at the collegiate level on both football and baseball. Additionally, as a lifelong pugilist, beginning with boxing training at the age of five, he soon added other martial disciplines, such as wrestling, judo, and various karate styles.

He attained a coveted black-belt ranking and taught and competed in the martial arts arena for several years.

After years of success in business, he began to experience some difficulties, as he became disabled, unable to work, and eventually became homeless, living on the streets of Hollywood for an extended period of time.

It is during this period where writing and poetry became both a diversion and interest in his daily life. Much of his early work was fueled by the homeless experience, as well as his “pen name” evolved and morphed—a well-perceived fit to his identity, perhaps reflecting his many battles and pain felt over the years.

As a novice to the writing and poetry field, the author has preferred using rhyme in the vast majority of his work. If he were to describe a style that he writes to, he has labeled it, somewhat whimsically, as “philo-etry,” as he hopes the material will be thought provoking and memorable for all those hat share it.

Author Bio
An intelligent laboratory technician working at one of the largest hospitals in the Maritimes, Danielle Bouthillier obviously enjoys science. However, she has a creative mind with a large imagination that led her to experiment with writing short stories. After winning a writing contest in elementary school, Danielle always had a goal of publishing a novel that was engaging and entertaining. Her Debut Novel, titled, Hero, took inspiration when a close relative accused Superman of being evil. Danielle wondered what would happen if a superhero had an abusive parent and how it would affect them as an adult crime fighter. It took several years to create this unique and unconventional superhero story and she hopes to publish a second novel in the near future.

Book Summary:
One night the son of a super villain, Johnny, is saved by a mysterious stranger. Years later, Johnny stumbles upon Hero living on the streets and wallowing in self-pity. He invites the superhero into his office, where she tells him her life story, which is filled with abuse, poverty, and anxiety. While telling her life story, she reveals to him her real identity, the identity of her friends and family, and her weaknesses. Hero’s role as a superhero is to save peoples lives in the moment of danger and stress, but it seems, she’s the one who needs real protection and support.

This science fiction, drama, and action novel with a hint of romance is an unconventional and unique superhero story. Throughout the tale, the characterization is strong, memorable, and nuanced, suited to the intricate, powerful, and compelling narrative. This work is an immersive and gripping piece that will resonate deeply with the reader, and the assured writing style and the way that the story builds and sustains tension throughout ensures that it will keep readers engaged and entertained.
