Structure fire destroys West Lancaster home at 1:40am on the 1200 blk of West Ave L-12
LA County Fire responded to the 1200 Block of west Avenue L-12 at 1:40am to fight the blaze that was destroying this fully involved home. Several fire engines responded and it took at least two hours to extinguish the blaze. The fire had spread to nearby brush in an adjacent field. No injuries were reported at the time of this report. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The new station also features a new phone number for non-emergency calls: 661-260-4000. Please use this number in lieu of the previous phone number.
Safe exchange zones are available in the front station parking lot for custody exchanges and residents looking to safely complete transactions for purchase, sale or trade with others. These safe zones offer 24/7 video surveillance, ensuring a safe exchange.
A sharps bin will also be available for proper disposal of medical syringes. The bin is located just outside the main entrance doors.

The mother of a 12-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl who were found decapitated at a home in Lancaster last year has been arrested in Arizona in connection with their deaths.
UPDATE: Two suspects have been arrested in connection to the murder of Elijah Martin which happened in February of 2021 in Lancaster. The two suspects have been identified as Willie Wilkerson and Rashaud Ramsey, both age 20. The two are being held on $4 million dollar bail each and expected to appear before a judge on 9/20/21. The district attorney has not yet filed charges in this case.

Robbery Homicide at Racquet Club Apartments in West Lancaster
A fatal traffic collision happened on 2.20.21 @ 5:24 P.M. in west Lancaster on 10th Street West & Ave H-14. What exactly happened is unclear and was still under investigation at the time this was recorded. Three adults were transported to a local area hospital and one was pronounced dead at the scene. No further details were available.

RV FIRE IN EAST LANCASTER
DRIVER OF A STOLEN HONDA CIVIC LED CHP ON PURSUIT THROUGH THE CITY OF LANCASTER AT SPEEDS OF 100MPH+, LASD ASSISTED IN THE PURSUIT BUT DID NOT GET INVOLVED. THE STOLEN VEHICLE AND ITS DRIVER WERE STOPPED AT AVE G AND SIERRA HWY. DRIVER WA TRANSPORTED TO A LOCAL AREA HOSPITAL FOR UNKNOWN MEDICAL ISSUES AND LATER TAKEN TO JAIL.
LATE POST, 11.17.20: Deputies responded to this location for a service call and upon arrival heard what sounded like gunfire coming from inside the home. All occupants were ordered to evacuate the home at which time all complied except one who was thought to have a gun and being non-compliant
