I had to step outside for a photo after spotting these small clusters of "catskins" on my aspen tree from a window. The flower clusters are a sure sign of early spring!

Last summer, a milkweed seed found our yard a suitable home to thrive. On days with the windows open, our home was filled with the sweetest smell as it flowered. Thinking on how these plants are so important for monarchs and how much joy it gave me to see them everyday, I gathered countless seeds to see how many I can get to grow. The warm weather makes me anxious to see how many will take root, in the dedicated milkweed garden.

The new year has been a whirlwind of planning for future events, ideas, and new products, while working on custom orders. Seminoe was even requested and interviewed for a magazine article, I'll post more on that soon. 😎

I'm pacing myself through all of the excitement. For some entertainment today, I share with you the first elk ivory I hand-set a couple of years ago. The back of the bezel even has an imprint from a butterfly wing.
