Southeast GA, we have bees, chickens, a mini Jersey heifer Stella;RIP, Naomi my mare, Mia and Rosie our dogs. Life as a homesteader is a beautiful blend of simplicity and purpose. Each morning, I am greeted by the chickens' cheerful clucking and the bees' gentle buzzing as they go about their daily tasks. Mia, our loyal chocolate lab, is always by my side, ready for another adventure on the farm.

Naomi, the princess pony, exudes grace and elegance as she prances around the paddock. Stella, our beloved miniature Jersey Heifer, brings a sense of calm with her gentle eyes and soft, velvety coat. Together, we create a symphony of life on our homestead, each animal playing a vital role in our daily rhythm. Between chores and tending to our animals, I find solace in baking bread, sharing recipes with friends and neighbors, finding time to stitch intricate quilts, and nurturing the vibrant colors of my garden. Every stitch and seed planted reflects my love and dedication to creating a warm and welcoming home for my husband and me. As I embrace the homesteader lifestyle, I find joy in the simple moments and take pride in living a life filled with purpose and meaning. With each passing day, I am reminded that a well-lived life is without regrets, and every action is a testament to our love and care for our land, animals, and each other.

Working this morning on cleaning up my tree beds, something I have been meaning to do for quite a while. But wait until you find a tree that is not doing so well you get moving on the chore fast. Three down and only 100 more to go πŸ˜† or so it feels like it. πŸ’ž

The are so pretty and today while admiring them I noticed that something was building there home. Why, go away, don’t ruin them, now I have to spray in hopes I don’t kill the bush.

Darn wasps!

So pretty, I need to learn how to propagate them and get more growing.
