The Fourth Annual Battle Of The Batter! Lansing, MI-Townsqure Media Lansing (WITL, WFMK, 97.5 NOW FM, WMMQ, WVFN, & WJIM-AM) and Pioneer Sugar present on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, The Third Annual Battle of the Batter at Pink Dessert Wars. Pink Dessert Wars will take place at the Radisson Hotel at the Capital in Lansing. Mid-Michigan’s area bakeries, caterers, pastry shops and restaurants will co
mpete for prizes and awards while incorporating the color pink or an edible ribbon in there dessert to bring awareness to the fight against Breast Cancer. Competitors will be eligible for the Judges Choice, People’s Choice, the Pink Table Award and they can compete for the Pioneer Award As Well.
• The Judges Choice Award will be given to the company that receives the highest score from our panel of distinguished judges during a blind taste test. The winner will receive a radio advertising package from Townsquare Media Lansing and Battle of the Batter Judges Choice Award.
• The People’s Choice Award will be decided on by the listeners/customers. They will vote by paper ballot while at the event for their favorite dessert. The winner will receive a radio advertising package from Townsquare Media Lansing and Battle Of The Batter People's Choice Award.
• The Pink Table Award will be given to the company with the best table design. Participant must use pink and/or breast cancer awareness information as the theme for their table.
• The Pioneer Award will be given to the company who uses the highest percentage of Michigan made food products (30% required to be eligible). Each competitor will be given a complimentary bag of Pioneer Sugar that may be used in their dessert. Pioneer Sugar is proud to be a Pure Michigan© product.
