A 14-Year-Old Boy Dies After Being Struck by Car in Anderson, Ind.

A devastating incident occurred in Anderson, Ind. Tuesday evening, when a 14-year-old boy lost his life after being struck by a car while walking in the street. According to the Anderson Police Department, the incident occurred on the 100 block of South Scatterfield Road around 11:10 p.m.

First responders arrived at the scene to find the teen lying in the road, where he was pronounced dead. Initial investigations reveal that the boy was walking in the roadway when he was hit by a car traveling south. The driver involved in the accident remained on the scene and cooperated with detectives.

Anderson PD is urging anyone with information about the incident to contact Sergeant Josh Bowling at 765-648-6795. The investigation is ongoing, and no further details have been released regarding the circumstances leading up to the accident.

A 14-Year-Old Dies After Being Struck by Vehicle in Anderson

A 14-year-old has died after being hit by a vehicle on Tuesday night in Anderson, Indiana. According to the Anderson Police Department, officers responded to a crash involving a pedestrian in the 100 block of S. Scatterfield Road at approximately 11:12 p.m. Upon arrival, they found the 14-year-old pedestrian at the scene and determined that the teen was in the roadway when struck by a vehicle traveling southbound. The teen was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. Anyone with information or witnesses are asked to contact the department at (765) 648-6795.

Semi hauling corn crashes into school bus in Madison County

A Tragic Accident: School Bus and Semi Collide in Summitville

A shocking incident occurred on Monday afternoon in Summitville, Indiana, when a farming semi-truck collided with a Madison-Grant United School Corporation bus at a rural intersection. Miraculously, there were no students on the bus at the time of the accident, which occurred around 2:30 pm.

According to the Madison County Sheriff's Department, the semi-truck was traveling southbound on County Road 300 East when it failed to stop at a stop sign at C.R. 1550 N. The driver, 19-year-old Cameron Bair of Summitville, lost control of the vehicle, which then crashed into the school bus traveling west.

The impact was severe, sending both vehicles off the road and flipping them onto their sides. The bus driver, 35-year-old Bethany Gibson of Gaston, was treated for minor injuries at a hospital in Anderson.

Anderson man found guilty of attempted murder after shooting Pendleton officer during traffic stop

LOCAL MAN CONVICTED OF ATTEMPTED MURDER AFTER SHOOTING PENDLETON POLICE OFFICER

Ross Morelock, 40, has been found guilty of attempted murder and multiple other felony charges after shooting a Pendleton police officer during a traffic stop in Anderson last year.

According to court records, Morelock was convicted of attempted murder, a Level 1 felony, as well as possession of co***ne or a narcotic drug, a Level 3 felony, and possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon, a Level 4 felony. He also pleaded guilty to the Habitual Offender Enhancement, which could add 8 to 20 years to his sentence.

The shooting occurred on May 7, 2024, during a traffic stop at a GetGo gas station near the intersection of Broadway and W. School Streets.
