Deer hunting was slow and we had heard coyotes yipping this morning on the way in. So, on the way out we set up and called the sage draw we heard the yotes in. 20 minutes goes by and two dogs bopped in. Mia got her first coyote! Can’t wait to hit predators hard this winter… this was a great start!

Super cool bull from this year. Not only did we get him on camera on multiple occasions… But I called him into Mia within’ 20 yards. Wind was ferocious and it didn’t workout. I wish I had some footage of that encounter but it happened so dang fast! Nonetheless a cool story and awesome unique bull on a public land OTC unit!

Moose paddles are definitely fewer and further between than most antlers. The feeling of walking up to a side by side set is just awesome! Actually walked right past the set (probably because it was more brown/fresh) on a previous walk in there for sheds this year. A great bonus to a kinda crappy walk for deer.
