Has anyone wondered what this means on K9 police vehicles? 🙋🏼‍♂️ If the horn is beeping it means our heat alarm is going off. Sometimes our officers have to leave their K9’s in the car to handle a call. Please call 911 if you hear this, it could save our partners life!

Not sure if our local law enforcement has this yet. It seems to be making its way around. ❤️

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Jackass Drug Dealer Admits to Mixing Dead Mom’s Ashes with Weed.

⭐️ Not St Petersburg Area.

Waukesha County police in Wisconsin have arrested a marijuana dealer who admitted to mixing his dead mother’s ashes with his product.

Menomonee Falls resident Austin Schroeder, 26, was taken into custody after police received a tip about he and his girlfriend dealing drugs from their apartment, according to a criminal complaint. A search of the apartment turned up 70 grams of marijuana, a small amount of MDMA, some paraphernalia and “a large amount of unknown powder,” the complaint indicates.

When asked to identify the mysterious powder, Schroeder explained that his mother died a year ago and “he took some of her ashes and mixed them with a variety of substances, some of which he ultimately ingested,” the complaint reads. Among the substances was weed, which Schroeder admits to having smoked. It’s unclear if he sold any of the dead mom weed to his customers.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Police were called for a woman screaming 'let me out.' It was a parrot!! 😂

Deputies with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of someone screaming for help at a neighbor’s home on Dec. 29, 2019.

After showing up to the Lake Worth Beach home, the deputies soon discovered that the supposed "victim" was actually a parrot named Rambo.

The homeowner was changing the brakes on his car, when the deputies arrived and notified him that his neighbor had called to report that there was a woman screaming inside asking for help and to be let out.

The owner then introduced Rambo to the officers.

"I was changing the brakes on my wife's car and had my 40-year-old parrot, Rambo, on his outside perch where he sings and talks,” the man explained to the deputies, according to a post on the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office page . “Sometime later four police officers showed up saying a neighbor called because she heard a woman screaming for help. I promptly introduced the officers to Rambo and we all had a good laugh.”

He added, “Afterward, I also introduced Rambo to the neighbor who called in the screaming.”

Luckily, his neighbor also “had a good laugh” about the entire situation.

“Sometimes Rambo yells 'help, help, let me out,'" explained the man. "[It's] something I taught him when I was a kid and Rambo lived in a cage."

🌟🌟🌟 3 MORE BAD GUYS IN JAIL!!

Pinellas County Sheriffs Deputy’s K-9 Cairo and Deputy Brissett responded to assist Patrol with a stolen vehicle in unincorporated St. Petersburg. The vehicle stopped and the driver and front passenger were caught immediately, but a rear passenger took off like a gazelle! K-9 Cairo established a track that went across nearby railroad tracks and behind a nearby business. He tracked up an overgrown stairwell and alerted. Deputy Brissett issued a warning. At that moment, the missing passenger made the best decision he made all day and surrendered. He was taken into custody without incident and charged with Grand Theft Auto, Resisting Arrest Without Violence, and Violation of Probation. Oh, and he had a warrant for Burglary...

Great job, K-9 Cairo and Deputy Brissett!!!

In Memoriam

CHIEF OF POLICE, JAMES J. MITCHELL
(January 1857 – December 25, 1905)

Chief of Police James J. Mitchell was St. Petersburg’s first law enforcement officer and first and only Chief of Police to be killed in the line of duty.

Born in 1857, James Mitchell joined the St. Petersburg Police Department in 1903, the same year St. Petersburg was incorporated. The City’s population was 1,600, and a new charter provided for a Chief of Police rather than a town marshal. James Mitchell was appointed the first Chief for a force that included four other officers. His duties included serving as a jailer for the new jail at 345 First Avenue S. (where it remained until 1952). His salary was $100 a month.

On Christmas Day, Chief Mitchell arrested a local man for disorderly conduct behind a saloon on Central Avenue between Second and Third Street. While escorting his prisoner to jail, Mitchell was attacked with a butcher knife, from behind, by a second man named John Thomas. Although mortally wounded, the Chief was able to fire shots at his assailant along with Officer Bill Murphy, who witnessed the attack. Thomas fell dead to the ground and the prisoner was again taken into custody.

Chief Mitchell was survived by his wife, Cornelia Mitchell, daughter, Dora, and three sons, James, Robert and Karl. The funeral took place at his home on Wednesday, December 27.

The Tampa Tribune reported that “sincere expressions of grief at this tragic death were everywhere heard” and his wife and children had been “the recipients of much sympathy.” He was buried in Greenwood Cemetery in an unmarked grave.

On May 12, 2017, the Heroes of the St. Pete Police Foundation and the St. Petersburg Police Department dedicated a headstone to mark Chief Mitchell’s grave.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Taco 🌮 Tuesday !!!!!

K-9 Taco here for this week's #TacoTuesday report. Last week in Seminole two suspects fled from one of our deputies who was trying to make contact with them. Deputy Whitehurst and K-9 Devon responded and tracked the first suspect through a mobile home park, over a fence onto the Pinellas Trail and eventually into a park. K-9 Devon then led Deputy Whitehurst several more blocks to someone's backyard where he located the second suspect's backpack, but not the suspect. Thanks to the clue left behind for K-9 Devon, deputies were able to catch up with the second suspect and both were charged with loitering and prowling. Great job Deputy Whitehurst and K-9 Devon - teamwork for the win!

Hope everybody has a great holiday! 🐾

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Anyone recognize this dirty Cowboy? Last night at 6:30 PM he walked up to a house on Central Causeway Blvd., South & 79th St South. He then started urinating on a woman’s front lawn which she captured on her home camera. We can’t show the video because of its content. Trust me, there wasn’t much to see anyways. Keep your eyes on your children everyone so they don’t get exposed to this inappropriate behavior.

If you didn’t lock up last night and live in that area, you might be waking up to find your car gone through. Take note of the get away car.

🌟🌟🌟 Those within law enforcement have seemed to always been looked at more negatively than they should. Why? Is it because an officer ticketed them for driving 95 mph on the way to work? Is it because they pull vehicles over when they see the drivers texting behind the wheel? Think about how these people who are “against cops” would feel if one of their family members had gotten injured in an accident due to reckless driving. Now it’s the other way around, right? Believe it or not, it is their job to help you, not piss you off. Of course, there are some officers that make mistakes. Police misconduct is out there sometimes as well. The negatives seem to only capture the media’s attention, and I would like to remind you all about the vast majority who take pride in their jobs. Please take the time to thank your local law enforcement. Unfortunately, these brave individuals do not receive the amount of thanks that they deserve!

⭐️⭐️⭐️ PORCH PIRATE CAUGHT!

Chalk one up for the good guys👍

Earlier today, Myron Calvin Hardiman (05/17/1987) entered the victim's property and removed holiday packages from the front porch area. When the suspect walked onto the porch, the victim's surveillance camera activated and the suspect was confronted by the victim via a video doorbell. The suspect grabbed the packages and fled northbound. Deputies quickly responded and located the suspect's red hat north of the scene.

As deputies continued their search, Deputy Ashley Borrero located the suspect walking just northeast of the incident scene. The suspect admitted to the offense and led deputies to where he had hidden the stolen items. All items were recovered a short distance from the residence and returned to the victim. The victim identified the suspect as the same person he observed on the surveillance camera. Hardiman was charged with Petit Theft and also had two active warrants for Grand Theft and Drug Possession. Great work #teamhcso!

Hi I want to address a major issue in Pinellas country. Juvenile offenders, kids in need and parents and kids who can not get the help that’s needed is happening every day. My granddaughter is on the streets at 13 as a runaway, the largo police department had her yesterday but let her go because the officer said it was at his discretion to so. My granddaughter is struggling with a mental illness that has made her a danger to herself and possibly others. Below is her probation officer Lauren Babcock who last year was a pool attendant and we wonder why kids are so out of control.
I hope this gets approved. I am the chapter leader of the Saint Petersburg chapter of the Guardian Angels.
