DEAD HAND RADIO by Andrew Hall is a podcast that was created to explore the Cold War. Besides being one of the most dangerous times in the history of civilization, the Cold War era led to unbelievable advancements in technology, science, communication, medicine, art and entertainment as well as an unprecedented period of economic growth between the years 1946 to 1991 finally ending with the collapse of the former Soviet Union. DEAD HAND RADIO will also discuss other issues of existential threats to life on earth, but the main focus is on the positive impact that these threats have on our culture and our world. Some episodes will be solo, where I’ll deliver a monologue based on a thesis I’ve prepared for that episode. Other episodes will include guests who bring specific knowledge and expertise from different fields of study. To learn. To educate. To entertain and exchange ideas with those interested.
