I RETURNED HOME WITH MY DAUGHTER ONLY TO FIND OUT MY HUSBAND HAD TAKEN HIS THINGS AND DISAPPEARED.
A few days ago, I went for an evening walk with my 4-year-old daughter Grace while my husband Jordan stayed home. We were having a lovely time in the park, but when we returned to our apartment, something felt... off.
The door was slightly ajar, and there was no sound inside. I called out for Jordan, but got no response. As I stepped inside, my heart dropped — his clothes, shoes, wallet, and even his work laptop were all gone.
I looked around in a panic and found only one thing: a note on the kitchen counter. It read, ""I will return only if you fulfill ONE REQUEST.""
I was stunned. What could this possibly mean? There had been no fights, no arguments — everything had seemed fine. Why would he just leave without saying a word?
I contacted the police, but they had no leads. His phone went straight to voicemail and I couldn't get any answers. The whole situation felt like a bad dream.
Then on the THIRD day, as I sat in the silence of our empty home, I heard the doorbell. My heart raced — could it be Jordan? I rushed to the door but when I opened it all I found was a plain, unmarked package sitting on the doorstep.
