When you support Nevada Brew Works, even by just eating, you’re helping support our mission. Our brewery is the foundation’s largest contributor, & every visit helps us provide equipment to children and families. We lost our daughter, Ariana, two years ago during a family vacation. Though Ariana is no longer with us, her legacy lives on through every child we are able to help. A portion of proceeds from each Ariana Rye sold gets donated to the foundation.Thank you for being part of that mission & for your support.Cheers 🍻 ......

Just checking in. I haven’t been posting here as much lately and have been posting more on my personal page.
Yesterday we had a surgery center appointment for Kyra. She had some cavities filled, and it reminded me of the times I took Ariana there for her surgical tooth appointment. I miss her so much. Every single moment of every day.... That’s not an exaggeration.
This is one of my favorite pictures of Ariana - it was at the dental surgery center where I just took Kyra. They had just given Ariana the premed before surgery. (We had Benzos at home too but saved them for nighttime and it still wasn’t a high enough dose, but her weight limited the strength). It made her so happy. It relaxed her muscles, eased her anxiety, and it made her so comfortable.
She then went on to have her front four teeth removed and replaced with crowns due to her severe reflux. The recovery was painful.

I just wanted to take this opportunity to share one of my favorite photos of her.

Today we went to Red Rock Pool and took the kids swimming. And I began thinking about Ariana.

Before we went, I looked up the bag and water bottle policies because I bring my water bottle everywhere. The policy said no outside food or beverages are allowed, even for children and toddlers. You can only bring in an empty water bottle.

And my mind immediately went to Ari…
She didn’t drink water. She only drank from her bottle with Pedialyte or sometimes Gatorade. Would they have let me bring that in for her? Would I have needed to explain why she needed it?

Then I started thinking about where we would have sat with her. If I could have brought her bath chair. How I would have carried her into the water. I never took her to this pool, and I wish I had taken her during that last summer before she died.

But I try to remind myself of what we did do.
That last summer, I took her to as many splash pads around Las Vegas as I could. We went to one or two almost every week. We explored all over the city until we found our favorites. I think we had a pretty great summer together.

Today my mother-in-law took a candid picture of us in the pool. And it surprised me… I’m smiling.

The thoughts of Ari are still there, they seem to follow me everywhere, even to a swimming pool she never got to visit. But for a little bit today, I was in the moment enjoying the water, the sunshine, and my babies - and I have a picture to prove it.

We started the Ariana Rye Foundation to help give disabled children like Ariana a better quality of life. We know firsthand how difficult it is to navigate insurance, and how often the equipment disabled children need most isn't covered. Our goal is to step in where insurance falls short and help families access items that improve comfort, mobility, and daily life.

Insurance companies don't consider things like proper seating or a comfortable stroller to be medically necessary. The Tomato Jogger and Tomato Chair are the two most commonly requested items through our foundation.

Unfortunately, as a small foundation, we're often only able to provide one or the other, as the combination costs more than $1,600. We hope to continue growing so that one day we can provide both items together and help even more disabled children get the support they deserve.
