Before I delete this page and switch full time to my new KREM one. Can I just say how amazing Eugene viewers are. The feedback I have received in the last 2 weeks has been unbelievable. Thank you, everyone for the most touching and humbling comments. I wish I could move all of our viewers up to Washington with me! www.facebook.com/katieboerkrem

Weird saying goodbye to everyone here at KVAL News, it hasn't hit me yet that today is my last day. Any one tuning in for my last show at 11?
Another mostly nice day for tmrw. for the valleys. Showers on the coast. www.kval.com/weather
Looking for an AWESOME Easter weather photo to include in my 6:30 show. Anybody? [email protected] or post here!
Funny. Thanks guys! I have some awesome co-workers.
WOW! I can't catch a break with my weather mic tonight! Out in BOTH shows. Who caught that? *is this thing on*
The rain should hold off for most of us in the valleys for Easter Sunday, if you're on the coast--I hope your hiding/hunting plastic eggs--cause there's going to be rain. Enjoy your Easter Sunday, Passover, or whatever you celebrate this Sunday holiday.

One show down, 3 more to go--before a week of "vacation" (boxes, packing, moving, unpacking) followed by the begining of a new adventure at my job at KREM 2.
Exciting news! I have accepted a job with KREM 2 (CBS affiliate/BELO station) in Spokane, WA as their new Monday-Friday Morning Weather Anchor (soon to be "Meteorologist) starting April 16th! I'm sad to say goodbye to Eugene and our amazing viewers, but excited for a new chapter and an exciting challenge. My last day at KVAL is this weekend, Easter Sunday, April 8th. You can still catch me on TV in Oregon (and back home in Seattle) doing morning weather cut-ins for NorthWest Cable News or by following me on Facebook.
The production crew and I just pranked my co-anchor Ty Steele KVAL SO GOOD seconds before air.
Here's something from the "Do Not Try at Home" file. http://www.kval.com/younews/145460095.html?img=3&mg=t

Super glue, ceran wrap, stick bombs...I've had some good April Fools jokes in my day. Whats your best?
THE NWS in Medford also issuing record March rainfull for Roseburg. The WETTEST MARCH on record with 9.13" (recorded from their co-op station, more accurate then the airport).
If April showers bring May flowers...what is this past March giving us? By the way--no April Fools joke--partly sunny tomorrow. www.kval.com/weather
No Joke! March was 5th wettest all time for Eugene. Fill in the blank. This April I'm ready for some _________. http://www.kval.com/news/local/5th-wettest-March-on-record-for-Eugene-145700645.html
It's no April Fools joke--Eugene tipped the rain gauge at 9.94" for the month of March--making this year the 5th wettest March of all time for the city. Normal March rainfall for Eugene is 4.99".
Wow! Update on our March Rainfall--after last nights final numbers came in--we moved up. Now 5th wettest March on record for Eugene with 9.94"! Wettest march ever on record for Portland (7.89"), 2nd wettest March for Salem (9.98"), 4th wettest for Astoria 14.13"! Yowza!
It's Ty Steele KVAL's debut behind the desk. He's no stranger to weekends! He's a great guy to work with and has an awesome attitude. Follow his work by heading over to his page!
Wow! Look what viewer dropped off at the station! Local artist drew this portrait off my facebook profile pic. How flattering. Just checked out some of his other artwork--pretty fun stuff! https://www.facebook.com/pages/Michael-Cross-Art/297536260310373
9.88" of rain SO FAR officially for the month of MARCH -- we'll see how much more we get tonight. Until then it's the 6th wettest March on record. According to the National Weather Service: #1. 12.46" in 1974, 2. 10.93" in 1989, 3. 10.58" in 1983, 4. 10.49" in 1904, 5. 9.93" in 1916, 6. 9.88" (so far) in 2012 www.kval.com/weather
And...once you've become a certified PADI scuba diver... SWIMMING WITH SHARKS at the Oregon Coast Aquarium! If I died today, this would go down as my most EXTREME & possbily coolest life adventure! http://www.kval.com/news/local/Swimming-with-sharks-Youre-going-to-be-in-their-space-145222245.html
For years, only teams of highly trained and skilled volunteer scuba divers were allowed inside underwater exhibits at the Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport - until now.
Only 5% of scuba divers become certified in the PNW. Sounds like an EXTREME adventure to me. Thanks to Eugene Skin Divers Supply for the certification. Now...who's ready to jump in the water!? http://www.kval.com/news/local/Before-you-can-swim-with-sharks-you-must-learn-to-dive-145219245.html
Could this be the most extreme adventure yet? Would you dive with sharks? http://www.kval.com/news/local/You-have-to-remind-yourself-Wow-these-are-wild-creatures-143874526.html#idc-container
For years, only teams of highly trained and skilled volunteer scuba divers were allowed inside the underwater exhibits at the Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport. Now guests are invited to dive, too.
Saying goodbye to my co-anchor Tom Adams on the desk, and welcoming Ty Steele KVAL. Tom Adams happy for a change of the Monday-Friday lifestyle--whatever that is. I'll really miss this guy.
What happens when you send weekend weather girls on spot news/house fire? KMTR's Angela Brauer shows up in orange spike high heels and I show up in slippers. Nice.
