Reminder: Give yourself credit for how far you've come. You're further along than you think.

The last few years have been a big adjustment for small businesses on social media.

Organic traffic is harder to reach and requires more research into what reels are working in your niche, tracking down viral audio that makes sense for what you want to share, and many artists sharing that their posts aren't as visible this year as they were a couple years ago.

Comparing yourself to others is troublesome enough, don't give yourself the burden of comparing the likes/views of 2019 with what you may see now.

You're still growing as a creator, and you're still going to attract people to your projects.

What tool do I use on almost every project? TRELLO.

I've had people request or ask me about other project tracking tools, and if they don't already have a program they are using, I recommend Trello.

First, there is a FREE plan which allows multiple users. This means I can create and get your board up and running without any fuss, without delays like waiting for my client to create and pay for their account. I can then add my client to the customized board to see what I'm working on and what I've completed, and even leave a note or change a due date.

The board includes a Calendar, which is ideal for content calendar creation and management.

If you want to get serious with your project flow, we can create a task along with the steps needed to complete it, which is very helpful to track progress and share responsibilities. Checklists are a great motivator, and you can set them to repeat once a week, month, or year.

These tools can be used alone or with a team. If you find yourself signing up and bookmarking these sites for later but never get around to it...you might benefit from hiring a virtual assistant to sort your work, projects, and appointments. DM me or book a free consult via my website.

Don’t buy the hype! 🙅🏼‍♀️

Instagram does not need to be a source of stress. There are a ton of trends shared as game changers that may work for a short time, or may be complete nonsense.

I like to stick to the tried and tested To Do’s for my regular posts and sprinkle in the “hacks” as a way to test new things without losing quality content.

Post to Stories 2x a day (at least!) to catch your followers in the Morning ☀️ and Evenings. 😴

Make your captions stand out to keep your followers reading. 📚

The BEST way to grab attention is to have beautiful pictures of your work. Use a photographer if you need help staging. It’s that important! 📷😍

Like and respond to all positive and constructive comments, ignore the bots and trolls.

Keep the links to your Storefront easy to find. There are some fun templates out there, just make sure your font is readable and your link list doesn’t get confusing.

Follow accounts you LOVE and ditch the rest. Toxic scrolling is never helpful.

IG wants us using LESS hashtags. The debate is on if that is what people will do or not, but I recommend using 3 dedicated hashtags and then 2 or 3 on trend tags that are relevant to your brand.
