Devers homers off Latz, and it’s 5-0 Red Sox. I’ve yet to feel encouraged by Latz at any point this season. Barring a crazy turnaround, I can’t see him sticking with the big league club for long.

That was probably Leiter’s best inning, a 1-2-3, 13 pitch frame. Would love to see him finish 5 strong. Not sure he’ll make it past that mark looking at the pitch count.

Rangers with runners on base and no outs has been painful this entire season. Think about the worst case scenario that could happen in a spot like that, and Texas has probably made it happen.

This is just ugly from Leiter. Killing himself out there. Way too many free passes and non-competitive pitches. He’s had starts in a row against formidable foes, but the 2-0 lead has little to do with the Red Sox offense.

Impressive from Leiter to dig deep and escape damage in that inning. The HBP / BB to Duran and Devers to start were priming for disaster.

Rangers waste a prime opportunity in the 1st. Had runners on first and second with 1 out for Adolis and Semien. Hard ground out from Doli and a Semien strikeout ends the threat. RISP continues to be an Achilles heel for this squad.
