Two years ago I visited my boyfriend and became pregnant so I stayed. When the baby was about a year old the following series of events occured:

This May, I was separated from my baby after my husband locked me out of the house. I called the police, leading to a 30-day restraining order against him. However, case workers granted him full custody because he has an established support system in Israel, while I have no family or friends here. ​

The sudden separation triggered severe PTSD and acute insomnia. After going five days without sleep and feeling like I would die every time I drifted off, I went to the emergency room for help. Instead of treating my insomnia and anxiety, the hospital transferred me to a psychiatric facility. There, staff yet again misdiagnosed me with bipolar disorder instead of CPTSD and subjected me to five weeks of intense large doses of medication without clear medical justification. All I wanted was help to sleep.

Now all I want to do is rent a room to live near enough to my baby that I can have visitation again because I have not seen her in five weeks now. As i've been staying far away in a domestic violence shelter. This gofundme is meant to help me pay for rent while the business I invested in to increases revenue and/or I find a full time job.
