Pahrump has a large number of veterans and Desert View Hospital resides next door to the Pahrump VA Clinic. I'm a Vietnam Veteran who uses the VA care system. On 1/20/2023 I had an approved cat scan scheduled and completed. Waited 4 hours until my turn came. Veterans are given a voucher number which is good for 3 months. Desert Radiology has 3 months to bill the VA voicer. Outside of this time voicer is not active and VA does not make payment, nor do they encourage the veteran to do so either.
So, Desert Radiology does not invoice until April and thus no payment is made. Instead of calling or resubmitting the bill to the VA, they mark it as unpaid and start a harassment campaign to bill me personally. After countless calls from the VA billing dept. on my behalf to stop the many billings, they referral their attention to a Henderson Collection Agency.
7/16/2024 after a call to the billing dept they agreed to a 30- day account "review." Now it's 9/4/2024 and even after another shared call to their billing dept on 8/28/2024 where they agreed to a 2-day "accelerated review" with a callback to confirm an action to wright the billing off as their mistake and direct the Collection Agency to remove actions against me. Nothing has happened again.
