Washington City is happy to announce that Eldon Gibb has been promoted to the role of Community Development Director.

Eldon brings a wealth of experience in planning, zoning, building, and code enforcement. With a Master's in Public Administration from Southern Utah University and over a decade of leadership in both public and private sectors, Eldon is known for his collaborative leadership style and deep understanding of the municipal development process.

This position plays a vital role in Washington City's ongoing efforts to expand access to attainable housing and attract diverse commercial development that enhances local services and amenities. The City has made significant strides to align with state code by streamlining planning, zoning, and building processes, removing barriers, and accelerating permit approvals.

Eldon is excited to get to work, ensuring that Washington City remains a great place to live, work, and recreate.
