Films That Feed To Screen "Dirt" tonight at Theatre7 in Las Vegas Arts District

I hope that Chad Clinton-Freeman is prepared for what could be a record turnout at tonight's screening of 'DIRT' at his first Films That Feed film festival at Derek's Stonebarger's Theatre7 in the Arts District. That said, having a standing room only event is a 'high-class' problem. Good luck Chad and we love this idea. See their website regarding admission which is an unwrapped toy or cans of food. See you there...!!!

Films that Feed is an international thought-provoking, socially and environmentally conscious film festival.

Why The Empty Tables...?

After opening day last Thursday of Bet On The Farm's farmers market at the Las Vegas Springs Preserve, this week I was surprised to see a number of empty tables and a quite few familiar faces that didn't make it. Being a 'City Guy' I never thought about the sub-freezing temps we had on opening day last week and the impact the freeze would have on many producers, especially those in higher altitudes. The market was still filled with beautiful and abundant products but it was a reminder of how Mother Nature can impact a farmer's business and livelihood. I thought the producers down south in Blythe, CA escaped it and were warm and cozy, but no, it was 24 degrees down there.
