After 10 years closed there doors.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of District One Kitchen & Bar. After an incredible journey of 10 amazing years, filled with unforgettable memories, this has been one of the most difficult decisions we’ve ever had to make. But after much thought and reflection, we knew it was the right decision for our staff, our families, and the community we love so much.
To our guests-whether you came from around the corner or across the world-thank you. Your support, loyalty, and love over the years have meant everything to us. You helped us build something truly special.
To our staff and team members-you are more than coworkers. You’re family. And this place wouldn’t have been what it was without each and every one of you.
I never imagined I’d have to write a message like this. It’s hard to find the right words, because District One wasn’t just a restaurant-it was a gathering place, a celebration of culture and cuisine, and a labor of love.
Our last day of service will be July 6. We apologize for the late notice, but truthfully, this has been incredibly hard to come to terms with.
This isn’t goodbye-it’s see you later. As one chapter closes, another begins. We’re excited to share a new concept with you soon, and we hope you’ll join us once again as we embark on a new journey.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for the memories, the meals, and the moments. Please keep us in your hearts as we move forward-and stay tuned for what’s next.

📺 Las Vegas victims are the focus of a Netflix true-crime series that’s currently the top TV show on the platform.

“At one point, I did think that Ben could have been the one for me,” says an ex-girlfriend only identified as Amber. “It’s hard to pinpoint the emotions that you feel when you love someone and, unfortunately, this person could have killed you.”

They met as co-workers at a day club on the Strip, Amber says, and there were no signs of trouble. Then the horrific abuse began, she says, describing it in gruesome detail.

What’s your thoughts on Flaming Fajitas Labor law violations?

👉🏻The owner of Juan’s Flaming Fajitas & Cantina restaurants has been fined $487,434 for labor law violations.
📍There are two locations in Las Vegas and one in Henderson.

👉🏻According to the U.S. Department of Labor, the restaurants failed to properly pay overtime and incorrectly exempted two employees from receiving overtime pay, violating the Fair Labor Standards Act.

👉🏻The violations included not combining hours for 32 employees who worked at multiple locations, resulting in $237,692 in back wages, $237,692 in liquidated damages, and $12,050 in civil penalties.

👉🏻District director of the wage and hour division, noted that such violations are common in the food service industry.
Owner Juan Vazquez claimed the violations were unintentional and has committed to repaying the lost wages.
He also emphasized that the oversight was due to a lack of knowledge about the specific regulations, not an attempt to withhold pay deliberately.
