Up until a few months ago I made only ad content for brands.

But I shift my focus on who I can serve, the rep I’m putting in, and getting 1% better every day

I’m still stretching my comfort zone and trying new formats or going deeper into my story

We had one last room to outfit in our newly expanded Vegas podcast studio.

our last set was the most eclectic, vibrant pink room, so we wanted to do something totally opposite

I wanted this room to feel luxurious and mysterious

like one of those old libraries with the ladders in some wealthy mansion that probably holds the secrets of the universe and reeks of ci**rs and whiskey

(Oscar wants a library like this in our home one day minus the ci**rs and whiskey 😅)

So couple that with his love for watches, and the inspiration for this room came

I only had to show Oscar the Pinterest board a handful of times before he fully executed on it and made it his own

We think this is our best set yet and we are super proud of it

Here’s how you get over that comparison trap:

With social media algorithms, possibly favoring more aspirational cell content, but it can feel depleting to compare yourself to that type of content

However, if you want to still make a life that is exceptional to YOU:

1. Take control of what you’re watching. I tend to favor more educational content that will teach me how to get to where I want

2. Focus on putting in the reps and not the final outcome. When you just focus on putting in reps, you will naturally acquire more skill and understanding.

3. Measure against your own personal gains rather than constantly looking outward. Document your journey so you can look back and notice how far you’ve come.

If you’re starting to feel deflated by social media, it’s time to take back control.

Focus on your own personal vision and your own gains and cut out the rest.

If you were told growing up that a good career means having a really good stable job then wanting to go off that path can feel really scary.

But when you know that’s not for you, then ultimately the fork in the road is during that doubtful phase where you either let the doubt take over or you double down and do what it takes to make it work.

10 years ago, I overestimated what I could do in 10 years

and I underestimated how fulfilling the journey would be

but being obsessed with growth

And following my intuition

allowed me to be in a place my 22-year-old self would think is unbelievably lit 🔥
