In other words we often love what you hate! HomeGrown Records West was started in 1992 along with the publication; Point Blank Magazine. However, Point Blank had a music and merchandising mail-order page that allowed us to supply independent and underground acts on a worldwide basis. We did not see a need to cannibalize sales from one in order to satisfy the other, so we moved ahead with the Point

Blank Mail-Order Catalog. Now, we are in 2016 and there is a need to separate the media and distribution outlets and focus like a laser on our markets and fans. Many people will say ....... "Why is it a cassette-only label?" Well, there is a multi-purpose strategy at work here. We don't want to expose our overall business model but cassettes (1) Are considerably cheaper to release music that CDs and vinyl. Next, true music lovers will gravitate to the format (we believe), keeping the artform as pure as possible. We hope you will enjoy the ride with us and support our ever expanding movement.
