Help me reach my goal, please 🙏🏻
I’m sure I’m not the only one with this challenge goal.
FB has challenged me to reach 5000 followers. It’s a very lofty goal I know, but with your help I might be able to make it.
I post about lots of various things, so let me tell you a little about myself.
I’m Susan. I’m a wife, a mom, a nurse who “super commutes” every other week, flying back and forth across the country, a crochet addict (most frequent project being comfort care blankets for patients in my ICU who we know are soon to pass away), a chicken/turkey/quail raising addict (raised for eggs and meat), a hatch-a-holic who’s constantly incubating more eggs than my husband would prefer but he tolerates it without complaint. Now, while we don’t ask each other for “permission” (like adding more to our flocks, nor anything else for that matter) we do discuss things with each other and make decisions after those conversations. This is especially important for the scenario of flock increases as he is their primary caretaker, and sole caretaker when I’m gone for 8d every other week for work. I’m an avid audiobook listener. I’m a massive “potty mouth”, but I’m cognizant enough of my surroundings and platforms that I keep it to nearly nonexistent when it’s not appropriate (know your audience ya know 😉)
I’m lots of things in between. I don’t pick fights, but I’ll stand up for myself (I promise I won’t slam your spelling if you promise not to slam my grammar and punctuation). I think I’m quite good at readily admitting when I’m wrong, and you know what? I’m human like everyone else and (gasp!) get things wrong. If I know I’m 100% right, and can tell you why (especially when I can give a source of the info), I’ll stand my ground. I’m always looking to learn something new, so educate me! I honestly think it’s just a figure of speech to say you learn something every day, cuz ya don’t, but even with 22y of experience as a RN, I learn something new often. Some things learned from TikTok since my husband send me medical stuff all the time. I appreciate respect and expect it in return (refer back to standing up for myself). I have integrity and I’m not only proud of that but also grateful. I’m not religious, and I’m not a big fan of talking politics, but I’ll get on a soapbox on occasion (just *usually* not on social media because there’s so much divisiveness and I’m not a drama zone). I have ADHD. Can you tell?🤭
Enough about me to join my chaos? I hope so.
Oh, I typically refer to my husband Aaron as Mr. French Chicks Farm, and my youngest as Little Miss but I won’t tell you her name because it has pretty unique spelling (only about 30 people when I googled it) and no one else in the world has her first and middle name combo even if they were traditionally spelled. She’s my fearless feral farm kid and I absolutely adore that about her. Idk how I forgot🤦♀️ but my oldest made me a grandma in February, and while I look old enough to be a grandma (insanely premature in greying), and chronologically I definitely am old enough (49), I don’t feel like I’m even remotely old enough (19)🤣. And last but as you’ll see definitely not least, I use emojis a LOT.
I’ll follow you back, but let’s be honest, I cannot keep up with engagement with my 2400+ followers and you’re 🥜 if you think I can at 5000. If you pop up in my feed, I’ll engage with at minimum a like, and often a comment.
Much love to you all. I hope you join my chaos and enjoy the ride.
♥️,
*pic of my newest chicks for the algorithm. What do you think of that RBF?🤣 That face reminds me of Jeff Dunham’s Walter 🤪
