Once again, let’s roll back the clock. This one is special to me, living near Augusta, Georgia. I can surely say that James Brown put his stamp on this city. Join me as we celebrate this epic day in history: on November 10th, 1958, James Brown and the Famous Flames hit the R&B charts with their eventual #1 song, “Try Me.” James would go on to achieve seventeen R&B through 1998. It was also his first Top 100 entry, debuting at #48. Pretty good for a kid raised by his aunt in an Augusta, Georgia

Of course, it was before my time since I was born in 1978, but this song is still going strong through movies, TV shows, and most definitely commercials that we all love, shaking my head, lol. Here we go! Heading back to 1987, on this day, October 24th, we celebrate one of my all-time favorites: the legendary Michael Jackson! His classic "Bad" reached #1 on both the R&B and pop charts, marking his second of five consecutive #1 hits. Listening to this track made me feel like the baddest person on the planet!
