Be stingy with access to you. The wrong company will have you normalizing version of yourself you worked too hard to outgrow.

I’ve learned that love can create an illusion of options.

Sometimes we convince ourselves that because there are other people out there, there will always be someone else—someone better, someone easier, someone who might give us what we think we’re missing. We keep looking, comparing, questioning, and wondering if we’re settling, when the truth is that real love isn’t about having endless options.

It’s about recognizing what is rare when you find it.

I’ve learned that constantly entertaining the possibility of someone else can keep you from fully appreciating the person in front of you. And sometimes, the illusion of having options is really just fear of choosing…to choose someone, to be vulnerable, to commit, and to let go of the fantasy that something better is always waiting around the corner.

Love isn’t about finding someone who gives you every possible feeling or checking every box. It’s about finding someone worth choosing, and then continuing to choose them when the excitement fades, when things get difficult, and when life gives you reasons to look elsewhere.

in a world where people are constantly replaceable and connections can feel temporary, finding someone you genuinely connect with, feel safe with, grow with, and still choose after seeing the imperfect parts of each other is incredibly rare.

There was a time I thought taking myself out would make me look lonely. The first solo date felt overly awkward and I questioned what I was even doing.

I remember wondering if people were looking at me. If they felt sorry for me. If I should’ve just stayed home. Yet somewhere between the first dinner, the first flight, and the first city I explored alone… something shifted. I stopped waiting for life to begin when someone else showed up.

I started noticing the little things I’d been too distracted to appreciate. A perfectly plated meal, a conversation with a stranger, the way a city changes at sunset, how peaceful it feels to simply exist without performing for anyone…. And yk even the beauty of silence.

Solo dates gave me not only confidence to say a ā€œtable for oneā€ or ā€œI didn’t come with someoneā€. It gave me the opportunity to have a deeper relationship with time. It gave me the opportunity to learn what presence really is. It gave me the opportunity to get comfortable with myself.

The quality of your life isn’t determined by how many people are in it. It’s determined by how deeply you experience the moments you’re given.

If you’ve been waiting for someone to join you before you start living… This is your sign to make the reservation.šŸ•Æļø

As of lately I've been discovering myself in ways that I never have. I wrote this quite recently and it was really my self admittance that I don't have everything figured out about myself or my future. Instead of being overwhelmed by it, I'll accept it. It's crazy how you can be so certain of a future and then overnight it shifts entirely.

The life you pictured changes. The people change. Even you change.
I'm in an era now of becoming the woman I haven't met yet. Every decision I make, every place I go, every person I encounter introduces me to another part of her. And for the first time, I'm not trying to rush the introduction. I'm not try to hide or hold back the stages I go through before sharing.

These past few months, I've been sharing pieces of that journey on Threads, and the response has reminded me that maybe we're all just trying to figure it out. Maybe the reason my words resonated wasn't because I had the answers, but because I was willing to share the questions I had been asking myself. I had chose to share the pathway of discovery.

If you're discovering yourself too, I hope you find a little bit of yourself here too.

My nervous system feels regulated when I don’t have the added stimuli of being in love šŸ™ƒ
