Hey Besties!
We just want to say thank you so much for all your prayers and kind words for Rico. We were discharged yesterday and we're home now; he's doing well, definitely resting a lot. He's still in pain from all the trauma his body went through. But he's tough and handling it pretty well. We just ask for continued prayers for him, that his recovery and healing will go by quickly and that he can get back to normal life and activities!
As I said, this was the scariest time for all of us, especially for me and Rico. You never know what God has planned for you, so please, everyone, tell the people you love how much they mean to you and how much you love them. You never know what tomorrow holds; we cannot take life for granted because tomorrow is not promised. I never thought this would happen to us this early in life. He's only 46 years old and already dealing with heart problems, but to God be the glory - God showed His mercy and love; He did not forsake us. God kept him covered when I cried out to Him!
We thank all the doctors, nurses, and medical professionals who had their hands on him because they brought him back to me and CardoBoy. Like I said, I'm not ready to do life without him. This is definitely an eye-opener for all of us, and we're still trying to adapt to what happened. I'm still in disbelief that it all happened the way it did, but I really think he was very lucky, and it's almost a blessing in disguise because had none of this happened, we wouldn't have known his heart was becoming weaker and weaker. So I'm glad we were able to get that fixed.
Again, thank you all so much. We love you all. Thank you for the love and support you continue to show me and my family. Be blessed. I'll see you on the next live soon! 🙏🏽
