Hello Friends!!
Happy October!! 🍁

The NEW list of OCTOBER Bible Verses to handwrite is NOW available!

This month, because I feel that the world has been so full of turmoil, I chose the theme for October to be “PEACE” and I hope it will help us to focus on the One who is Peace and can give us true peace! 😉

This challenge is called “HIS Words at HOME in my HEART” and I am inviting you to journey along!

If you haven't heard about this before, I started this as a way to spend more intentional time in God's Word. I also decided to invite others to journey along, handwriting Bible Verses daily. Which, can help us remember them better, because when we slow down & concentrate on carefully writing the words, it helps our brains remember what we've written out! And gives God’s words space in our hearts!

So, I have a couple of suggestions:

* Begin by reading, not only the verse, but some of the surrounding verses, the paragraph, or Chapter, in order to understand the context of what is written. And, there are really good things in the surrounding verses too, so that is my encouragement…to read more than the verse!! 👍 😉
* I also encourage you to pray & ask God to give you understanding and wisdom as you read too!! 🙏
* Write your verses in a journal, notebook or on index cards. You can write the verses fancy and use color, or just write it out normally! 📒 🖊️

*COMMENT: OCTOBER Bible Verses and I will send you the FREE Printable in messenger, for you to print off and journey along with me & others!
(You can also just save the photo in this post, but I would still love to know if you are journeying along!). 🧡If you have questions, send me a message!!

I would also 🧡 LOVE it if you share your progress over the month, to help encourage others!!
Blessings & hugs to you! 🧡

Hello friends!!
I have a new Blog post, on my NEW Website, in the Wednesday Words section! Here’s a little “sneak peak” and I would love for you to go to the link in the comments to read the full blog post!! ❤

“When I first came across Joshua 3:15 in my research for September’s “His Words at Home in My Heart”, with the theme of “Harvest”, I almost didn’t include it. At first glance, it only mentioned the harvest season, without saying anything about growth or fruit. But as I encourage all of us to do—I went back and read the surrounding chapters for context. And I’m so glad I did, because there’s an abundant “Harvest” of truth and application here!

Joshua was leading the Israelites to the Promised Land, but there was one big obstacle in their way—the Jordan River, which was at flood stage during harvest. God instructed Joshua to have the priests carry the ark of the covenant and step into the river first. And as soon as…” ❤

🍎Hello Friends!
I’ve been working on Galatians 6:9, one of the verses from this month’s “His Words at Home in my Heart” Bible Verse Challenge. The background is extra special—it’s a basket of apples from our own harvest at home! 🍏🍎 I had fun getting creative with the photo in a few different ways… but now I can’t decide which version I like best!!
💛So I thought—why not let YOU help me choose?
👉 Cast your VOTE for your favorite: A, B, or C!

Thanks a bushel, friends, for joining in the fun! 🍎🍏

Wednesday Words
Midweek Reflections in the Journey of Making His Words at Home in Our Hearts!

September’s “His Words at Home in my Heart” theme is “Harvest” and many verses talk about the harvest being part of the enduring rhythm of creation, of day & night, summer & winter, cold & heat, and seed time & harvest. God uses the harvest, as provision, not only for the farmer and his family, but also for the poor and foreigner, by instructing farmers to not harvest to the edges of the fields, so that those in need can glean for themselves, and thus be provided for.

Also, some verses showed the connection between when His people praised Him and walked in His ways, their harvest was a blessing, compared to when His people chose to do wrong and ignore Him, their harvest reflected that too, showing there’s a cause & effect.

Then, there is also another kind of harvest that is not referring to vegetables or grain. In Hebrews 12:11, it says, “No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it!” You know the new habits, technology, or skills we’ve had to learn in work, play and life? Well, they are often difficult to learn, frustrating to figure out, or overwhelming to become skilled in. But with perseverance, discipline, repetition and not giving up, they’ve yielded a harvest of reward and growth.

However, I think this verse is talking about something even a bit deeper than learning a new technology, job, or sport…the focus is more on our heart and our faith. Hebrews 12 starts out by encouraging us to, “throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles us and run with perseverance the race marked out for us.” When we focus on Jesus, remembering His love and what He went through for us, we can resist sin, and grow in our love for God. Choosing His way over our way, isn’t always easy and can be a struggle, and even painful, but, if we don’t give up, it will produce a “harvest of righteousness and peace.”

And that is a harvest worth reaping!!

It’s not too late to jump in and journey along with us!!

Blessings to you!!"

I made this button pin for my mom in my high school art class, and she would wear it every year for Mother's Day. This is the last time she wore it...we didn't know it would be her last Mother's day! Since she passed away, I now have it and wear it on Mother's day!
Happy Mother's day!!
