Hey everyone, I just want to talk about something that many people do not understand. The difference between a Medical Phyto-therapist, A Naturopath, An Herbalist, and a witch.
Naturopath:
🌱 Healthcare professional trained in natural and holistic medicine.
🌱 Combines herbal medicine, nutrition, lifestyle counseling, and other natural therapies.
🌱 Focuses on treating the whole person to promote self-healing within a healthcare framework.
Medical Phyto-Therapist:
🌱 Professionally trained in the medicinal use of plants.
🌱 Works within a healthcare framework, often with certifications.
🌱 Uses scientifically supported herbal remedies to support health and treat ailments.
Herbalist:
🌱 Often experienced through tradition, apprenticeship, or self-study.
🌱 Focuses on the holistic use of herbs for health, wellness, and balance.
🌱 May or may not have formal medical training, varies by region and practice style.
Witch:
🌱 Practices rooted in spiritual, magical, or ceremonial traditions.
🌱 Uses herbs as part of rituals, spells, or spiritual healing.
🌱 Emphasizes intuition, spirituality, and cultural practices beyond just medicinal uses.
While we all work with herbs, a Medical Phyto-Therapist emphasizes scientific medicinal use. I use the word Clinical Herbalist a lot to connect as the majority of the population does not understand the differences between these practices.
