The IRS is cracking down in 3 areas:

1️⃣ Dependents – You must prove they live with you (school, medical, lease, utilities).

2️⃣ Side Income – All money must be documented (Cash App, Zelle, Venmo, deposits, invoices).

3️⃣ Filing Status – Head of Household requires proof you paid household bills and supported a dependent.

⚠️ No proof = problems.

File smart. Be audit-ready. The IRS is serious in 2026. 💯

Tax season check-in! 📝 If you took money out of a retirement account last year, keep an eye out for Form 1099-R.
Here’s what you need to know to save money:

• Check Box 7: This code tells the IRS if your withdrawal is "Normal" (Code 7) or "Early" (Code 1). If it's labeled early, you might owe an extra 10% penalty unless you qualify for an exception.

• The Rollover Rule: Moved money between retirement accounts? You’ll still get a 1099-R, but it likely isn't taxable. Make sure it’s reported as a "Rollover" on your return so you don't pay taxes by mistake!

• Box 4 is Key: Ensure any federal tax already withheld is recorded correctly so it counts toward your refund.

Pro-tip: Don't file until you have all your 1099s in hand! Missing just one can lead to an IRS letter later. 📩

Not next month ! Not after tax season! Now!

Stop letting people who don’t file your taxes tell you to claim exempt or some wild number. That advice feels good in January and hurts real bad in April
