Author event at the Lenox Library 5 pm! The Bookstore will be closing up a little early this evening as we head down the street for a talk on “Owned: How Tech Billionaires on the Right Bought the Loudest Voices on the Left”, the timely new book from journalist and historian Eoin Higgins. Eoin will be in conversation with Dan Neilson, Assistant Professor of Economics at Simon’s Rock College. We invite you over to 18 Main St from 5-6pm for a sharp look into the history and mechanism by which right-wing media has eclipsed a disappearing free press. You’ll find us in the Sedgwick Reading Room, with books available for purchase.

Thank you all for your kind words about our dear friend Renzo. While a memorial is being planned for February, we do plan on raising a glass to him at our next event on Sunday, January 26th, 4pm here at The Bookstore. Lois Cahall will be here to celebrate the launch of her new book “The Many Lives & Loves of Hazel Lavery”. We hope you will join us.

It is with deep regret and sadness that we must report the passing of our great friend and esteemed colleague, Scott “Renzo” Renzoni. An actor, poet, mimic, bookseller, and bartender, Renzo will be sorely missed by The Bookstore, Shakespeare & Company, and the surrounding arts community. Information regarding services will follow.
Photos:
Renzo had a poem published in the Fish Anthology 2023 poetry collection, one of 10 winners chosen by poet Billy Collins.

We let him roam free from time to time! Here’s Matt at our neighbor and friends Shakespeare & Company’s Fall Festival of Shakespeare! Of course Matt’s two daughters were in the Festival back in their day, and…perhaps the grandkids sometime soon?
We love supporting our local friends, and Matt can’t wait to see you wherever it is he pops up!
