WNKW control Room Remodel.
Well it’s a new year I hope things will continue to grow for WNKW and the sunshine radio network .
This week WNKW will be heard on 103.5 FM 1480 AM and now 97.5 FM
I took over the old Neon radio station because it was neglected, and was going back to the FCC. With Gods help, I was able to save it. It is healthy, and ready to grow. All AM day time stations will get an FM translator for free, if they do not own one, how wonderful. My dream of saving this station that started in 1956 came true.
We got a new transmitter for WUKB FM, sounds great, i am so thankfu. I give GOD the credi!
Well tonight was a wonderful night, My brother Frank who is no longer with us, was in the Air Force band and tonight I had the honor of doing an interview for WUKB with the Master Sergeant, and director of the band. They did a concert in Pound VA, it was great.
I would like to thank everyone that helped me keep people informed during the snow storm on WUKB. What a privilege it is to be involved in the place I grew up, and play the small part that I do.
I was proud that WUKB has ben chosen by iHeart Radio to become a Kentucky News Network affiliate starting this Monday. We will carry Kentucky news and Kentucky sports cast. It is amazing to me that the old WNKY has taken off so well, I thank every one for their support in restoring this radio station from Neon.
WUKB IS HAPPY TO BE HERE THIS CHRISTMAS, WE ARE STRONG AND THANKFUL FOR ALL THE LISTNERS AND SPONSORS WE HAVE. THIS STATION STARTED AS WNKY IN 1956, BUT WHAT EVER IT'S CALL LETTERS ARE, WE ARE STILL THE SAME PROUD TO BE HERE STATION WE HAVE ALWAYS BEEN, THANK YOU AND MERRY CHRISTMAS.
