Protein Sparing Chewy Buns🍞
Ingredients:
1 cup of protein powder (whey or plant-based)
1/2 cup of almond flour
1/2 cup of coconut flour
1/2 cup of oat flour
1 tsp of baking powder
1/2 tsp of baking soda
1/4 tsp of salt
1 egg
1 cup of unsweetened almond milk
1 tsp of apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp of honey
1 tsp of vanilla extract
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, mix together the protein powder, almond flour, coconut flour, oat flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In a separate bowl, beat the egg, then add the almond milk, apple cider vinegar, honey, and vanilla extract.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
Scoop spoonfuls of the batter onto the prepared baking sheet and shape into buns.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the buns are golden brown and firm to the touch.
Allow the buns to cool before serving. Enjoy as a protein-packed, low-carb alternative to traditional buns.
