Good Afternoon Everyone! So excited to share this week's SDI blog article, giving you a peek into what we've been dedicating our time to lately with our new role at Rocky Mountain LiDAR Professionals.

A key initiative right out of the gate was to develop and submit an application for an FAA waiver. And here's an important technical point: while many refer to it as a "BVLOS waiver," we are actually asking for a waiver from the Visual Line of Sight (VLOS) requirement of §107.31. It's this specific waiver that allows us to perform Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operations!

This isn't just a technical step; it's a monumental leap! If approved, Rocky Mountain LiDAR will gain unparalleled efficiency and reach in geospatial data acquisition, allowing us to cover vast areas for critical industries like oil & gas, renewables, and engineering. This capability will truly solidify our position as a leader and is a testament to our deep expertise in drone operations.
