If you’ve ever admired a chainsaw carving around Lincoln City, there’s a good chance it was created by James Lukinich — a professional arborist-turned-artist whose mission is all about Art with a Purpose. What began as a hobby carving animals from fallen trees turned into a recognized art form, with James becoming a member of the Spanish Village Artist Guild in San Diego’s Balboa Park. He went on to showcase his live sculpting skills at major events like Art Splash in Carlsbad, California and placed multiple times in the Oregon Divisional Chainsaw Carving Competition.Today, James continues to blend his love for nature and creativity right here in Lincoln City — turning dead or diseased trees into lasting legacies. From public art installations to private commissions, his custom carvings stretch across the western states, with roots still running deep in San Diego County.💥 Featured work includes the well-known tourist carving at Hwy 101 & West Devils Lake Rd, and so many other pieces across Lincoln County and beyond.🌟 Community Hero: James donates one of his works to the Lincoln City Summer Art Festival every year — supporting raffle fundraisers and giving back with every swing of the blade.🎨 Whether you’re looking to repurpose a tree stump into art, commission a one-of-a-kind piece, or simply admire the beauty of chainsaw sculpture — you’ll want to check out his work:🔗 Explore & Connect: • 📸 Website: www.jameslukinich.com • 📧 Email: [email protected] • 📞 Private Showings: 619-916-8459 • 📘 Facebook: facebook.com/share/16jqxZ1nSB • 📷 Instagram: instagram.com/james_lukinich📍 Based in Lincoln City, Oregon — James lives here with his wife Marilyn and their three huskies, carving his way through life with heart, purpose, and a deep love for both people and place.🎬 It was a true honor to film James’s work and share a glimpse of his artistry with the community.
