The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife is looking for an RV Host for the month of December. This could be helpful for someone looking for a temporary place to park their RV. A note from the Lincoln County Cultural Coalition: Could your organization or project use a grant right now? What a coincidence! We've got an opportunity for you... right now! The deadline for the annual Lincoln County Cultural Coalition and Sponenburgh Memorial Trust grants has been extended to Sunday, Nov. 15. We offer grants of up to $1300 for projects and organizations offering 2021 programs in arts, culture, heritage and humanities, for people of all ages. The application is ONLINE this year! Check it out at http://www.lincolnccc.org/ The coalition members realize that this is a weird time -- and planning for the future is difficult. Many of the usual applicants are just surviving, rather than planning new projects or initiatives. Please consider applying anyway. In light of COVID, we have been given permission to consider applications for general operating funds from arts, culture, heritage and humanities nonprofits in our county. This program cannot provide general operating support for schools. But we encourage you to think about any music or art needs that your students may have, and if they might be funded through these sources. Materials to send home? Music for at-home practicing? Books for a poetry project? By the way, the funds for these awards do not come from the federal government or even the state of Oregon. These are donations from individual Oregonians, through the Oregon Cultural Trust, and from the estate of artist Mark R. Sponenburgh. Questions? Call 541-994-9994 and ask for Niki.
