It was definitely time for this Epipremnum Pinnatum Albo to get a repot and get put on a moss pole so I can upsize the leaves and get them to pe*****te.

It was time to check on my prop box and see how it was doing, everything was doing amazing! Roots were growing, plants were growing we just needed to dampen the moss to keep everything growing nice and healthy. This was my first time making a prop box and it might be my new favorite method to propagate plants

These monstera albos were definitely ready for a repot and I needed to get them on moss poles so they could continue growing and thriving. The first plant is a very special one to me as it’s the plant my husband and I potted up on our wedding day so it is a symbol of our love for each other and our relationship

Monsteras thrive in bright, indirect light — that means near a window, but not in direct sun.

Direct sunlight can cause leaf burn (crispy brown patches), while too little light leads to slow growth and small leaves.

🌞 Find the balance: a bright room with filtered light = happy Monstera! If you can’t find the right lighting in your house, grow lights will be your best friend especially in the winter time! Link in my bio to shop my favorite grow lights

Did you know that ZZ Plants store water in their rhizomes and in the stems of the plant? This is why the are one of the most low maintenance plants because they don’t require as much water or care.

Let’s take this Philodendron Silver Sword and repot it plus put it on a moss pole so it can keep growing and stay supported.

This was a big project mainly because the moss pole wouldn’t fit on my work table so I had to do most of this project on the floor which was really interesting to try and film everything. I’m so excited to watch this Silver Sword grow now that it’s on a moss pole.

Let’s talk about one of the biggest Monstera care questions: how often should you water?

Monsteras like their soil slightly moist but never soggy. Overwatering is the #1 cause of yellow leaves!
A good rule: water when the soil is 50% dry, you can use a chopstick to check the soil. 🪴

💦 Bonus Tip:
Monsteras love humidity! Use a humidifier — you’ll notice faster growth and glossier leaves.

Here’s my go-to chunky blend for happy, thriving plants:
🪴 Base: Ocean Forest Mix
➕ Chunky perlite
➕ Orchid bark
➕ Horticultural charcoal

This mix boosts drainage, improves aeration, and keeps roots from sitting in water — helping prevent root rot and promote strong, healthy growth. 🌿
