🌿🐦 The countryside was certainly awake this morning! 🐦🌿

After seeing the Merlin Bird ID app featured on Clarkson’s Farm, we thought we’d give it a try here at Halfway House this morning.

The results were impressive, with the app identifying:

🎶 Skylark
🎶 Linnet
🎶 Blue Tit
🎶 Blackcap
🎶 Great Tit
🎶 Robin
🎶 Wren
🎶 Chaffinch

The standout has to be the Skylark, singing high above the fields surrounding the site. A fantastic reminder of just how much wildlife we have right on our doorstep.

One of the many perks of staying in the Lincolnshire countryside – fresh air, open views, and a soundtrack provided by nature itself. 🌾

A lovely day out at the Lincolnshire Show Thursday!☀️🚜

It was great to spend a few hours exploring the show, meeting people and enjoying everything that makes Lincolnshire such a fantastic county.

We’re lucky to have so many great events and attractions right on our doorstep for our guests to enjoy during their stay.

Now it’s back to the campsite and welcoming more visitors! 😊

Victims of our own success? 🤔

This week at Halfway House Touring Park we're dealing with an unexpected challenge... drainage issues! 💧

With the site busier than ever, we're discovering that success brings its own problems. Join us as we tackle another behind-the-scenes challenge while continuing to welcome guests to the park.

👑🌿 Royal Visit to Halfway House Touring? 🌿👑

Well… after a visit to Grimsby, a certain royal gardener seems to have found his way to Halfway House Touring! 😆

He heard about our immaculate hedges, award-winning facilities and peaceful surroundings and decided to lend a hand.

We did offer him the ride-on mower, but apparently hedge maintenance is more his thing! 🌳😂

P.S. Before anyone asks… this didn’t actually happen. It’s all a bit of fun! 😉

🍺 Louth is blessed with some cracking pubs, and we're lucky enough to have two favourites right on our doorstep!

The White Horse is a proper traditional drinking pub. Friendly atmosphere, great company, and you can usually find a table without too much trouble. Perfect for a relaxed pint and a catch-up.

The Brown Cow has a bit more of a quirky feel to it and is always buzzing. It can get very busy, which says a lot about how popular it is with both locals and visitors alike.

The best part? Both serve an absolutely lush pint of Guinness! 🍀🍺

So, if you're staying with us at Halfway House and fancy a trip out, you can't go wrong with either.

Who knew checking the bins could be so heartwarming? 🍾

In EP31, we discovered some "mystery items" left behind at the campsite, and it wasn’t what we expected! We also put Julia’s driving skills to the ultimate test—did the electric points survive? 🔌🚜

What does a 5⭐ campsite really mean?

Following our recent Visit England inspection, we've put together a new blog sharing our thoughts on achieving a 5-star rating, what inspectors look for, and what it means for our guests.

We've also added some beautiful new pitch plaques around the site which we're absolutely delighted with! It's the little touches that help make Halfway House Touring feel that bit more special.

From immaculate facilities and spacious pitches to the personal welcome we pride ourselves on, we're constantly investing back into the site to make every stay the best it can be.

✈️ Well that was a treat! ✈️

Today we had a visit from an RAF Airbus A400M Atlas flying low over Halfway House Touring Park!

The A400M is one of the Royal Air Force’s largest transport aircraft, used to carry troops, vehicles, equipment and supplies all over the world. With a wingspan of over 42 metres and four massive turboprop engines, it’s an incredible sight when you see one up close.

This particular aircraft flew directly over the site at low level as part of a military training flight, giving both us and our guests something a little special to watch from the pitches! 🇬🇧

One of the many perks of being in Lincolnshire is the fantastic military aviation activity around us. From fast jets to huge transport aircraft, you never know what might appear overhead.

Did anyone else spot it today? 👀

🎥 New Signs Going Up…

Straight from our recent VisitEngland inspection! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

One of the best moments after receiving the report is getting these signs up around the park. We captured it all through the Meta Glasses while fitting them today. 👀

We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve built here at Halfway House Touring Park, but none of it would be possible without our amazing guests. Every booking, review, recommendation and kind comment means the world to us.
