The fall run is officially HERE. Hope y’all enjoyed my little summer intermission because I'm getting ready to live in the arena again. And by “intermission” I mean I spent my summer traveling all over the country shooting hunter/jumpers because apparently my idea of taking a break from one equine sport is simply working nonstop in another one.

BUT WE’RE BACK. Looking at this calendar has me FIRED UP. Rodeos, barrel races, some of my favorite arenas, some new places and a whole lot of miles with a camera in my hand.

September and October are already stacked and I am coming back to rodeo season ready to WORK.

I’ve missed the dirt. I’ve missed the chaos. I’ve missed standing somewhere mildly questionable for the shot. I’ve missed telling these stories. I've missed all of you. I can't freaking wait to be back.

I want to be very clear about something.

Racism is not welcome here. Not in my inbox, not on my business page, not at a rodeo and not anywhere near the people I photograph, support and care about.

Someone felt comfortable enough to send me a disgusting racist message today. Let me make myself perfectly understood: my clients, riders, friends and families, regardless of the color of their skin, are valued here. They are celebrated here. They are not a place for someone else’s ignorance to land.

If you think sending messages like this are acceptable, unfollow me, don’t book me and don’t stand near me at a rodeo acting like we share the same values.

We don’t.

My business will always be a place where people are treated with dignity. Period.
