To some it’s just a chair. To me, it’s a mix of something new but also losing a bit of my Mom.
You see…I have had her desk chair as my own since about 2002-2003. She purchased it from a store called Ames that is now long gone. I think she paid maybe $20 for it. That chair became a legend in our family. However over the past 6 months, the hydraulics finally started to let go and the chair no longer raised. It became uncomfortable to sit and work
I finally caved and got the chair you see. Added a pillow for a bit more back support. My son got home from work a few nights ago and exhausted, put my chair together.
We have decided to keep the other chair in the spare room for an extra seat. Neither of us can part with it yet.
It’s so funny how a $20 chair and a memory can leave such an impact.
