We love doing our part to push the industry in a positive direction!

Through our trade organization, Next Generation Pet Food Manufacturers Association (NGPFMA), we submitted maitake mushrooms to the AAFCO Common Food Index.

And … it was approved!

This means manufacturers can now use them in pet food, opening up a world of possibilities. And you never know, we just might have a few ideas in mind. Stay tuned!

We have a few leftover dog treats from today's farmers' market. They were freshly baked Friday night and kept covered at the market, and now I'll keep them in the freezer to maintain their freshness. We get asked all the time if particular dogs are good with cats. Sometimes we know they are not, usually we don’t know at all because they’ve never been around or lived with cats, but every so often we are lucky enough to have the knowledge that certain dogs are good with cats— either from their former owners or their current fosters.
