Take a look at this Tiger Shark’s jaw πŸ‘€

A tiger shark's permanently dropped or saggy jaw is typically the consequence of severe physical trauma, most often a dislocated or fractured lower jaw sustained while struggling with commercial fishing hooks or longlines. Although their jaws are primarily composed of cartilage, allowing for flexibility, violent thrashing to escape nets or lines can result in permanent damage.

This is much different than rod and reel fishing where the fishermen is aware of the shark on the line and brought in immediately. Long lines can set for hours before the fishermen can return to release their bycatch. She was completely healthy and doing well so luckily she overcame the trauma suffered from being commercial fishing bycatch. A price we pay to have all you can eat seafood.

Cinderella came out to be 10’6” and she was tagged for NOAA and excited to see her time at liberty if we get that opportunity! This was a 24 hour mission and she came in on the 23rd hour, so Cinderella was fitting for this beautiful lady.
